This was our second stay at this lovely home. This time we had the pleasure of staying in the Nostalgia Room on the 1st floor. It was very cozy and warm on an extremely cold weekend. The separate kitchen area was quite charming, where we enjoyed the wonderful homemade breads and granola. The newly redone bathroom boasts a glorious hot shower and beautiful tile. I would absolutely recommend The Times House to anyone looking for a quaint and romantic getaway.

Stayed in the Legacy Suite for 2 nights and had a fantastic getaway! The street that the Inn is located is so quaint and charming, we weren’t even inside yet and I knew it was going to be wonderful. Diane and Chris were fantastic hosts, gave us tips on where to eat and things to do. The Inn has a fireplace in the common area along with coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
Our suite was a great size and I was super impressed with how clean it was. The mattress was very comfortable, and so was the couch in the sitting room.
The in room breakfast was perfect! Stocked juices in the mini fridge, fresh yogurt with honey and berries and ready on our table was granola, fruits, scones, muffins, biscotti and the most delicious cakes.
We did not get into our car at all as everything less then a 10 min walk away. We did the train ride, a show at the opera house, Big Creek tasting room, Myst, Molly Maguires and shopping. When we come back to Jim Thorpe, and we will be back, Times House will be our place to stay! I’m already trying to arrange a friends trip for next fall!
We had a great stay in the Serenity Room at Times House. The entire place is immaculate; our room was cozy and beautiful; the breakfasts were delicious. Chris and Diane are wonderful hosts and overlook no detail to make sure that your stay with them is as enjoyable as it can be. The location is great, and we highly recommend dining at Myst about a half block away (thanks for the suggestion, Diane!). Looking forward to another stay at this charming bed & breakfast.
We stayed at The Times House for two nights and had a wonderful time. Our room, Times II Nostalgia Suite, was absolutely beautiful. The kitchen was furnished with period furniture and included an in-room continental breakfast with fresh scones and baked goods. They also provided teas, coffee, oj, apple juice, grape juice, and water in our room. All rooms have their own fireplace and a private bathroom, which is completely redone and beautiful as well. Games and puzzles are provided in the common living room.
The Times House is situated right in the middle of everything. The train station, restaurants, Opera House, and mansions are all within walking distance. We did not use our car once while we were there. Chris and Diane, the owners, were there to give suggestions when we were looking for things to do and places to eat. Our only complaint, which had nothing to do with the B & B, was that the mansion/jail tours are not running in December. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend them to anyone looking to visit Jim Thorpe.
The Serenity Room was lovely and we enjoyed the breakfast left in the room. The baked items were a real treat and it was great having the refrigerator stocked. The bedding was soft and so warm. The Inn was spotless and Chris and Diane were attentive, offering suggestions of things to do and places to eat. The inn is located among famed Stone Row and perfect spot to return after a day walking around. We would gladly return.
Diane and Chris are wonderful hosts and people. We have been coming to the Times House for many years and have always enjoyed ourselves. We love the location and the service provided. We are treated like family and look forward to coming back again.
