Food ok but pricey! We were charged nearly £2 for a sprinkling of cheese on chips. The food was average but large portions so you don’t leave hungry. My only gripe was the customer service. We were sat outside and whilst we were looking at the menus, someone came outside and literally threw a menu on each table. When ordering food inside we had a trainee taking the order which was not a problem as we all have to learn a new job. When the food came, again the plates were nearly thrown onto the table and the staff were very gruff in their attitude towards us. I would have thought holiday makers would be their bread and butter at this time of year so maybe need to work on the customer service skills otherwise they could find themselves with no customers! Rude and arrogant is not the way forward!

I don't know how they do it but their fish and chips turn out super crispy, not soggy! Abit of a wait as there were loads of customers but definitely worth a visit

having visited Kynance cove we were hungry and decided to drive a few miles to the Lizard, there we found the regent cafe. So glad we did. the staff are so friendly, plenty of choices of meals and amazing value too. We couldn,t believe how much food was on our plates and as for the cakes, they are to die for.

As always, we cannot fault the Regent for food or a friendly chat. Take Away picnic was a first for us this time. Delicious hot pasties, drinks to wash it down and a cream tea to finish up!! All eaten on the village green on the Lizard with relatives from the Lake District & Bournemouth. The Regent have a great selection to suit all tastes and at reasonable prices, the food is piping hot and beautifully presented, if you have any room left for a sweet, again, you are spoilt for choice. It is spotlessly clean, and very good service. Their cod and chips would feed 3 people!! and is delicious. We visit the Lizard 2 or 3 times a year, staying a month at a time, and our first stop for food is always The Regent and we are never disappointed. The gift shop attached and run by Ann is an Aladdins cave and if you want something specific, Ann will do her utmost to get it for you, so obliging. Please don't ever retire Regent, I'd have to start cooking again!!

Called in here whilst doing a circular walk. It was busy but we found a table chose what we wanted and you go to the counter to order. We ordered the fresh crab salad this didn’t take long to come to us. The salad was substantial with plenty of crab. After the salad we were tempted by the display of desserts we had the chocolate orange cheesecake and the orange mandarin and passion fruit cheesecake both were very nice.
