We booked two suites and upon check-in they had zero view. The view was other hotel rooms 20 feet away. Given it was the Amex FHR program I am really surprised they would allocate such terrible rooms. As it turns out, very few rooms actually have a view of the river because of how the hotel is designed so I have no idea why they call it RiverPlace. The room safe was not working and it took multiple days and multiple requests to have it repaired. There was a buzzing/resonating sound on and off in the room. The second room had issues as well. Housekeeping failed to clean the room on one of days. During breakfast they were doing renovations and were making a huge amount of noise that you could not talk over. It does not make for a very good experience. Why not do renovations between meal services or after hours? Overall, we were exceedingly disappointed with our stay given how the hotel was pitched and the price.
