I was promised hot tub, sauna, pool and free breakfast in the morning and was told after paying, those are not available. The good point was location and marva in the office however, both dominos said the econo lodge was out of their area so I was ping ponged between 2 dominos. My daughter is 8 years old and I didn’t want her to walk on the floors, take a shower or lay under the sheets and here is why! I took video and pictures. 1. Wood floors so dirty that I had black feet! Had to rewash the bottoms of my feet just to lay on the bed. 2. Black feet prints all over the wall! This is clean? 3. Freezer so packed of nasty ice that you can’t put anything in there and past food stuck on the bottom. 4. The rim of the toilet paper roll is out of the wall and sharp corner hanging out. 5. Something yucky ( dare I say poop) that was on the wall right above the toilet paper roll. 7. The curtain rod was broken and had to leave that side closed entire time. 8. The smell was a mixture of dirty socks and smoking even though it’s a non smoking room. I felt like I was going to have asthma attack 9. A man smoking pot right near the office and customer walkway. He was in his car but with arm out and windows down. Nothing was said to him to move away from the office and my daughter and I had no choice to walk by him because we were on 3rd floor and needed the elevator located on the other side of him. If it wasn’t for the fact that I had driven so far with my 8 year old I would have asked for another room. I was given excuses for all the items listed here. This is not family friendly and in No Way are the rooms clean especially with all the covid concerns. I have video of the foot prints on the wall and the freezer condition however, unable to load video here.

Its hard to really tell but this is how dirty floors where at our hotel lastnight. Econo Lodge on Sandy blvd is HORRIBLE. I tried talking to manager and she was No help

I booked my reservation using a Choice Privileges email offering holiday bonus points. My reservation was confirmed by Choice Hotels.

I arrived at the Econolodge on and was first told that I had no reservation. Then I was told the reservation was for a different date. I showed the receptionist my confirmation from Choice Hotels and she then stated that they had been unable to charge my credit card, so the reservation did not go through. I had them run my credit card again and settled in for the night.

The next morning, they told me my credit card still had not gone through, so they ran it again. In the end, they charged me a higher rate than I booked and refused the bonus points. In addition, they cancelled the online reservation I made on the same day I checked in so they could charge the higher rate.

Also, there was remodeling going on and the heater blew dust and grit throughout the room. Bottom line: Avoid! Go down the street to Quality Suites.
