I chose this hotel because it was an affordable option that was near the train station. I paid a bit more over the nearby Super 8, thinking I would have a more comfortable stay. What I got was a Super 8 room at Quality Inn prices.
The very first thing I noticed was the entrance to the elevator. I had to use it since I needed to get my bicycle to the room. The only ground floor entrance was in the parking garage. I am a 6'1", 185 lb male and felt uncomfortable using that entrance. There needs to be a an a lobby or outside entrance to the elevator.
The hallway to my room was dank and looked like it was painted by the owners 12 year old kids. Paint was chipped and sloppily applied.
My room became extremely noisy, the neighbors were screaming and slamming into the walls. I really thought someone was being assaulted I would call the front desk, the desk would call up to their room and they would quiet down only to start making more noise later. I may have also had other neighbors slamming into walls as the noise continued through the night. I asked to be moved but was never accommodated.
As another reviewer mentioned, the breakfast man was far from friendly which would have been deal had the rest of my stay been fine but it was just the icing on the cake.
About the only thing this place has going for it is it is clean, near Amtrak and near public transit.
