This was the worst motel experience we have ever had. Hair on the sheets. Filthy towels. Lock of door broken. Staff often absent. No room service. Littered halls, stairs, so creepy. We were there five nights, unable to find another motel or move, because I was sick and it was too difficult to move (we are old women and had requested first floor, but they put us on the second floor way down the hall, no elevator, many stairs down to first floor and then again to the parking lot.) First off, know that the staff we dealt with directly tried hard, when they were available, which was only sporadically - I had to go looking and get a daughter to go find her staff person mother.) BUT, we arrived and could not be checked in at 3. We went back at 5. The first floor room we requested was involved in a major water leak, so they put us on the second floor. There was no elevator. We had to carry suitcases, cooler, etc. to the second floor. (Staff helped). The parking driveway and path was littered, as were the carpets on the stairs and in the halls: cigarette butts, dirt. The counter had trash on it. The room had no coffee pot and not enough silverware for two. No couch, just three hard chairs, in spite of the huge room. The manager said it was the Motel 6 policy to not put couches in the "newly refurbished" rooms. It was very uncomfortable to use the living area. No lamps, just overhead light. No dish soap, dish cloth or towel, no way to clean the dishes. The freezer was unthawed, packed with ice, and the door didn't close. When we threw the bolt on the front door, it came out of the wall. The building seemed unsecured: front door was unlocked and no one was at the front desk at night. When we went to bed at 10, there were black long hairs on both beds' sheets. We called to have the sheets changed. It took 1 1/2 hours for her to arrive with clean sheets. The live-in staff brought sheets but "didn't know how to make a bed," so we made our own beds. We never had any room service at all. We had to dispose of our own garbage, bring towels down to the front desk to ask for more, ask for coffee packs, and never had sheet changes. When we used the bath towels they were soiled with oil and dirt streaks. People were using the emergency exit right outside our door to go smoke. The emergency exit goes to a yard that has no egress! Gates locked, I was sick during this visit and we couldn't move. This place is so bad that it gave us Motel Six fans, pause for ever staying at a Motel Six again!!!!
