We called asking to check in early as otherwise we'd have to find somewhere to go without our luggage for four hours (check-in was at 3pm.) The woman on the phone was VERY rude and hung up on me while I was explaining my request. I called her back and politely continued my explanation, and she agreed to let us check in early, so it ended well.
The hallways are littered with big crumbs and the dust of construction. I guess they're having work done? (I didn't see or hear anything being done.) The mess was left on the floor for all four days we were there.
We were pleased to see our room was spacious and included a humble kitchen setup (oven, stove, microwave, fridge) but we were quickly disgusted to see thick black hairs all over the floor, our towels, and our already-made bed. We saw the maid in the hall and requested new sheets and towels (she smartly recommended we take toilet paper, and I'm glad, because there wasn't any in the room prior to that). Unfortunately, there were still a few hairs on the new towels and sheets we got. Everything smelled clean, so I'm not sure what's up with the hair problem! Gross.
We put up with it because, having booked extremely last minute and trying to be cheap, we knew it wasn't going to get any better.
I can say that the pool has a cute little pool (not sure if it's clean, I didn't check it out) and that it's right down the street from a bus stop. It was easy to get downtown, although it did take about 30-40 minutes. There's a deli cattycorner from the motel if you don't have any food.
