We wanted to stay close to downtown Portland but not in a downtown hotel.
This place was a tad bit dated, but clean, comfortable and did the job. We stayed for two nights.
On Saturday morning the drive to downtown was less than 20 minutes. I'd assume it would take longer on a weekday.
The hotel had a pool and hot tub. We did not use either but there was a lot of people in both on each of the days/nights we were there.
The hotel does have an elevator. It has guest self serve laundry which we used. It worked fine.
Our room had two VERY comfortable queen beds and a small suite area with sofa, table, fridge and microwave. The bathroom was an OK size. The TV worked well as did the wifi. Breakfast was good and there were plenty of hot and cold choices. Front desk staff was great!
There is a lot of food options in the area that you can walk to. A short drive away is a Target and shopping center with various stores and restaurants.
The airport is VERY close but we never heard any airplane noise when in the hotel. The parking lot is well lit and felt safe. We had no issues with finding a spot.
Really no complaints, other than it could use some updates and remodeling. However, if you are looking for an affordable, clean, friendly hotel not far from the airport and not far from downtown, this is a great choice. We'd stay here again. In fact, we did on our way back through Portland prior to flying out of PDX.
Safe travels.
