Traveling alone from Carmel California this was more or less my first foray Into the travel word in a couple of years. After a brief evening on the town I returned to the hotel. Like the portcullis of an old enchanted castle, the doors are big and heavy. I made my entrance and there he stood in all his glory. Like a prince, gracing the courtyard, there he stood in all his handsome glory; plucking away at his computer. In a brief reprieve, from what I can only assume was a stern mitigation of the mundane, he glanced up with a warm and welcoming smile. This old heart dropped to the basement. Small in stature, but twice as handsome with his soft features and warming allure my soul could do little more than ache for his embrace. Reluctantly I retire to my chamber; small or “snug” as they put it, was the perfect size for this single love struck traveler. My bed was very comfortable, and the room was immaculately clean. I tossed myself back on my bed and as I drifted off to sleep my mind began began to wonder, as it does with a woman of my vintage, if I were 30 years younger maybe, just maybe… dare I say it? I do. Steven……Steven…..three times STEVEN! How we could have been lovers in a different life! Ah well, 5 out of 5. Def recommend the Hoxton Portland.
