We very much enjoyed our stay at The Porter, which was just a short drive from Union Train Station. Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable, and they even had a dog bed and bowls ready for our traveling canine.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel's other amenities such as the pool and workout facilities. I used the spin bike while my partner swam laps in the heated pool, which I enjoyed later along with the hot tub and steam room, all conveniently open until midnight.

The Porter’s downtown location made the entire weekend easy to get around the city, with walking distance to shopping & restaurants and river front, plus a quick drive over to the east-side. The neighborhood was clean and safe, and I would comfortably take the dog for a walk any hour and enjoy the beauty of the city.

I would highly recommend The Porter for anyone staying in Portland that wants an elevated experience with a great central location to see all the city has to offer. We're looking forward to staying at The Porter again, and next time we need to plan to spend more time at the rooftop Xport Bar, which had amazing decor and views - not to be missed!!!

Walked into my room to find a beautiful wine and cheese basket. Then found that it was for someone else but put in our room! I actually called the front desk, they said it was meant to be there. Then I brought the envelope to the lobby. They said “sorry to tease you like that. Then a bell boy followed me up to get the basket!
Checking out we called down to the valet for the car. It took about 20 minutes. They apologized, the valet yesterday wrote down the wrong space number!

A top notch hotel, clean, comfortable, so stylish. Outstanding staff.

Everyone is impressed with the Xport rooftop spot but the Terrane bar and restaurant is NOT to be missed.

Casey (bartender) takes great care to make your experience world class. Very professionally run - amazing, original dishes, and incredible drinks. The entire presentation is well thought out and executed.

I stay here every single time I go to Portland.
