Best weekend getaway

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 19 Nov 2020via mobile
Had the best weekend at the Nines- EVERYONE we had the pleasure to deal with was amazing starting with our valet Scott - to all the front desk people- Everyone was thoughtful and helpful anticipating any needs we may have. Dinner at Departures was great, all the food was delicious and drinks were inventive and tasty, also loved Alejandro. Comfy night sleep - great amenities in the room, always love a nice robe and slipper set. Breakfast at Urban Farmer was awesome- loved the Benedict and server Kiefer was both charming and attentive. Great choice

This quaint property is nicely situated in the heart of downtown Portland. We understand that not all amenities are available due to Covid and the hotel accommodated to the best of their abilities. Yes the homelessness is a definite problem in the city and most of the stores are boarded up- but wine country was open and the views were stunning with the fall foliage changing. All in all a lovely stay.

The location is full of homeless people outside the doors, some of who aggressively ask for money and harass guests. The neighborhood is boarded up from riots. There is no real room service. The restaurants inside are available by reservation only. The front desk doesn't answer the phone and are snotty. Rooms are nice, but bathrooms are dated. One and a half stars at best. Hated this place so much, that after pre-paying, I decided to stay elsewhere and lose my money. Truly a terrible experience. Stay away at all costs!

I booked their deluxe suite for $600 for ONE NIGHT, no parking included, no food or water included. I was taking my girl out for her birthday to get out of the house and away from the baby while parents babysat. I never once booked a hotel without having a tub in the description because I know this is her one chance to get in a big tub and relax. This hotel described in detail that my room would include a tub/shower combo, it didn’t, was only a standing shower and a second half bath ???. I called front desk and they gave me the run around saying they’re all booked but would be happy to downgrade my room with no refund, come to find out I paid for a deluxe suite and they put me in a normal suite because they’re “overbooked” or “sold out” . This is the worst customer service I have ever received , do yourself a favor and take a hard pass on this one and go to the RED LION where they actually give you what you pay for and meet your expectations . I’m disputing this entire stay , never coming here again and I’m glad the place is boarded up, hope it stays this way cause it’s a dump inside just like it looks on the outside. Employees are anything but luxury , this is less luxury than a best western, and customer service worse than a red roof inn . Take your $500 and go to California or the coast or even leave the country , this place is a joke .

The Nines Hotel hit every mark I had asked for. Truly the staff, the hotel the food all exceeded our expectations. From every start to every end, my wife was treated with a very special Happy Birthday! Thank you for making this a special time!

This property was located in the heart of Portland. Next to court and pioneer square. Atrium with a lot of artworks was impressive. Receive a room upgrade to a suite because of my marriott elite membership. Suite has separate bathtub and shower and provided slippers and bathrobes. Breakfast sandwich and omelet with spinach and mushrooms was excellent. Don't miss the top Departure restaurant. From the outdoor patio you can overlook Portland Downtown.
