I always stay at Hilton properties, but my company booked this for a conferences.
Stay was fine, everything you need in a hotel.
It looks fluke there may have been some kind of a leak or other water damage they were repairing.
Also, food was a bit over priced so I chose not to eat at hotel, I cannot comment on that.
Decent stay, but I missed Hilton standards.
Warm and friendly staff, very comfortable stay. This is my second trip to PDX and will remain my hotel of choice. The hotel staff are very attentive and accommodating, truly exemplify the Marriott brand. Highly recommended!
We stayed here for a conference in June. The hotel was nice and very comfortable but we were terrified walking from the hotel to the conference center or venturing out to find food. We witnessed several instances of people struggling with mental health, people passed out, drug paraphernalia, and perhaps even a dead body. An ambulance was there with a covered body on the ground. So, so sad.
This hotel is a dump. First room we were assigned - the heater was broken and it was blowing cold air. We couldn’t turn it off and it was December in Portland and we needed heat. Second room smelled like old stale cigarettes. I didn’t give them a third chance - I checked out and went across the street to the brand new, beautiful Hyatt Regency instead. Seriously don’t stay here. Other than the state of the rooms - the staff was lovely but almost got the impression they knew the hotel was a dump and were trying extra hard to be nice to make up for it.
This is a good option near the convention center. I stayed for several nights and was not disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive. It is close to public transportation. Most importantly for me, the hotel was clean, convenient and the bed was comfortable.
