Check in was quick, but the area in front was a little run down and dark. For a 2 star hotel, the size of the room was average, the carpet and bathrooms appeared clean. There were a good amount of plugs near the bed for electronics. The internet was a little slow. The hotel is located off of a busy street. There is a Walmart, Dollar Tree and Walgreens within walking distance. The breakfast area was right in front of the check in desk. The area was tight. Breakfast was very minimal.

Weird neighborhood. Staff not friendly nor helpful. Poor, very poor breakfast in smelly lobby. Room was not what we call clean. Area neither. Roaches near airco (outside). We are real travelers, so no clue where some of the travelers with good reviews did sleep. Booked in advance so could not cancel. Otherwise we would not have stayed here! Paid $80.73 incl. tax... Not worth it ! Sorry.

Nice comfortable beds, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff was nice and the breakfast was decent. Pricing was good for location and lots to choose from within walking distance of motel

We were a little concerned as we approached it, thinking what is this place -it looks old and tired from the outside and closed restaurant in the next lot makes you worry. However we checked in and the room looked much better.
Comfy bed, clean and everything as expected. Noisy air conditioner so you can't sleep with it on- perhaps better for their electricity bill! Shower ok. Can't really hear the neighbours which is good.
Breakfast offered, but only the very basics, which you take to your room to eat.
Conveniently located.
Room had an odd smell and walked past other rooms where you could tell they were smoking. So not sure no smoking policy fully works.

During a recent trip to Portland, I needed a place near my venue that would provide a high degree of convenience. I am very pleased with this Econo Lodge. The room was very clean, comfortable bed, water was very hot, excellent tv/cable, wireless was high performing, and the several food selections and stores were in close proximity/walking distance. All my needs were fulfilled, and the staff were exceptionally nice and professional. This place isn't for the high needs traveler, this place is for those who simply want the basics covered well....I rated them 'high' because they fully satisfied the basic needs I required!! Thank You!!
