If there was free breakfast it would be a very nice Best Western

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 1 Jun 2024
I stayed here several years ago and it was, to be polite, underwhelming and not even close to Sheraton standards. The experience was such that I didn't come back until last weekend when a cancelled reservation elsewhere left me scrambling. To my pleasant surprise, it was considerably better. Still not up to the Sheraton name but, if this was a Best Western, it would be a very nice Best Western (though if it was there would be a free breakfast!). Certainly OK for a night or two.

Our family of 5(4 adults/1 child) stayed here on Saturday night(5/11/24) while we were in town to visit family, had a small issue at check in when we were given a room with only one king size bed but that was taken care of quickly with no issues, we stayed in a 2 queen room & the room was a great size & we had a great stay, we ate breakfast at the Elmers restaurant on site after we checked out on Sunday morning and it too was really good!

Overall, this is not a bad place to stay. When I first booked the hotel I remember it was a cheaper option compared to others in the area. Room and bathroom were clean. There is a water fountain on first floor. Parking is free. Microwave, mini fridge, and safe in room.

What a terrible experience! I am a disabled person and use a service dog, this hotel apparently does not understand the law regarding the federal disabilities act. They tried to charge me a pet fee, which is unlawful under federal law. They also accused me of stealing a pillow! Amazing! What a "ghetto" hotel. I am a Titanium Elite Customer with Marriott (second highest level you can attain) and if they treated me like this, you better stay somewhere else. Not to mention the hotel is a dump, and is dated. Stay Elsewhere!

Room tip: Stay elsewhere!

I picked this location due to proximity of where I'd be working, but maybe I should have just driven a little bit further. Or avoided Marriott all together in Portland because this my second so-so experience with one of their hotels.

1) Service was great. Both people I spoke with at reception were friendly and helpful.

2) The room was nice enough, but the windows looked like they hadn't been washed in a decade and there isn't any type of heavy shade to block out the sun. Also, the bed sagged. Two people sleep on my mattress every night at home and it's not sagging after a decade, so how old does a mattress have to be for it to have a dip in the middle? Or maybe someone has been jumping on it a lot...

3) The rest of the hotel is kind of meh. The elevator is so slow that you can climb two flights of stairs faster than you can ride up. And a bonus negative is that there was some kind of shady timeshare sales going on in the lobby. At least I think that's what it was. There was a guy with a pony tail and cowboy boots just hanging around all the time. I appreciate the need for a hotel to make extra money by renting your conference rooms...but this wasn't in the conference room. I that to walk by this sketchy cow-bro every time I came and went from the hotel in the morning and after work. For days. And nobody was talking to him. He was just there with a sign for vacation property printed in large font on plain 8.5x11" paper.

Room tip: Some rooms may have a view of the mountains, but don't expect the windows to be clean

I've received consistently excellent service here at this Four Points. Lizzie at the front desk is on top of things and is very friendly. The rooms are always very clean, everything is done quite well, and amenities have always been stocked--never had an empty shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The location is convenient to PDX and downtown Portland is a pretty short drive. The onsite Elmer's restaurant is a great choice, too.

Room tip: Lots of parking
