I booked 2 suite rooms with balconies, when we walked out on one of the balconies it was covered in large spiders. Obviously it had not been cleaned. They were on the lights, walls, outdoor table and chairs. We immediately went inside and found a large spider inside the curtain to the balcony. We called the front desk and they sent up maintenance with a broom.
We had not taken any of our stuff to the room yet so we went to the other room and called the front desk and asked them to please move us from the spider room.
We had our non-verbal autistic grandson with us, which she could hear while I was on the phone, he was getting very upset by all the room changes and commotion on trying to decide what to do. He just wanted to get to bed. We were told that if we could keep him quiet they could move us to an executive suite. I’m sorry but we can’t control his sweet noises. It was about 9:30 pm and the rest of my family was already sleeping. So we blew up an air bed we had in the car, and stayed in the room not infested.
When we woke up we discovered a dead spider on the window. Chips were under table once we moved it. Cobwebs in corner of bedroom doors. The deck did have some spiders and webs but nothing like the first room.
When checking out. They acted like they did me a favor by refunding me for the room we couldn’t sleep in!
I was so offended by the comment regarding my grandson, I didn’t want to stay. The room was dirty and the other room was infested with spiders. We asked to talk to the manager and left our phone number but no one has contacted us.
