This was honestly one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The property is well-located, just off the highway but within walking distance of Hood River's waterfront, city center, marina, and history museum. Despite not really needing a car to explore during our stay, there is ample, well-lit parking available. We always felt safe.

Every staff member we encountered - from front desk to housekeeping to breakfast staff-was friendly and helpful. We were greeted with smiles from everyone. It is obvious that this property prides itself on customer service. They were very accommodating to my request for a late check-out because my son's windsurfing lesson was delayed due to wind conditions. We appreciated their flexibility and understanding very much.

Our room and the entire property were immaculately clean. The hallways were wide and well-lit. Our bathroom and sleeping area were spotless and bright. The bathroom was well-stocked with towels and toiletries. The beds, pillows, and linens were super comfortable. The breakfast area was also neat and clean.

There is an indoor pool and hot tub, as well as a gym, water bottle filling station, and small market. The daily free breakfast had a wide, varied selection, and the food was delicious - somehow so much more so than the usual free hotel breakfast. The afternoon's warm cookies were plentiful. One afternoon, there was even a beautiful bowl of fresh cherries offered.

The hotel itself was quiet, but the traffic on the nearby highway was loud at night. However, the hotel supplies free earplugs and white noise making fans to help you sleep. The staff seems to think of everything to make their guests feel at home! The attention to detail is to be commended.

I highly recommend the Hampton Inn and Suites Hood River. I look forward to returning in the future!
