Check in was quick and easy, hotel is very nice, service was very good, free breakfast is at the restaurant next door, which was very good. Room was nice and clean, we had a view of the river which was nice, but it would have been nicer to have a balcony and not just a window.
This hotel was extremely clean! The staff was friendly and helpful. We are an elderly couple traveling with an 11-year-old autistic grandchild who is startled day and night by noises. The room was so quiet, even though the hotel was full, that he never got startled and we had a very restful stay. The coffee in the lobby is really good and the pool area was immaculate. Breakfast was very good. The view of the river from the room was wonderful and the grandkid was kept busy watching the happenings on the river.
I think I paid a little extra for a river view room. It was very nice ... had a small balcony where we could sit in the early evening and watch the colors change on the river and hills. Hotel and room were very attractive. Breakfast is at the Bridgeside restaurant next door off a special limited menu. They run an efficient semi-cafeteria-style operation. The only problem was the food just didn't have much flavor at all.
The staff was exceptional and the rooms were spotless! Rooms had comfy beds, good quality linens, and were very clean! The rooms with balconies were TOTALLY worth the extra 20 per night. The sunsets and view of the river and the Bridge of the Gods was sensational! The voucher for breakfast included a choice of 5 large, delicious meals. I can't wait to come back! Location was great too as it was an easy 20 minute drive to many incredible waterfalls. The local brewery was a 5 minute walk and had incredible views and great food and drink too!
This Best Western was a beautiful get away. The location, right on the Columbia River is excellent. We upgraded to a balcony room and it is well worth it for the view. The amenities are nice, and they offer a coupon for a delicious breakfast next door at the Bridge Cafe. The staff is excellent, very helpful and the location is perfect to either walk, bike or travel by car to the many waterfalls and scenic areas in the Gorge. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel is located next to a operating train track but the room was still pretty quiet. The staff did leave ear plugs for guests to use if the train noise was bothersome, which is was not to us. We thought it was a rather peaceful sound and you hardly heard the trains with the windows and door closed.
