Stopped in for coffee and cake, and everything was great. Rhubarb cake was absolutely divine, coffee was fantastic. The shop is also full of loads of stuff to buy. The only downfall was that because lots of people had ordered just before us, we got our cake first and then about 20mins later the coffees, would have been nice to have everything fairly close together. But would definitely visit again.

Had soup and sourdough. Soup was really lovely but very stingy on the bread. One pretty small piece was it. Could have had at least two to be more filling and better value for money. With very limited food outlets in St Marys they were very busy which meant a bit of a wait and if seated near the counter, people standing in very close proximity to your table which was not ideal.

We found this looking at reviews for scallop pies. They didn’t disappoint! Lovely little cafe, plenty on the menu with some ready made vegetarian pies and quiche available also. They had a booster for our toddler.

Really wanted to like this place as the reviews were very good and it got a mention at our accomodation as a nice place to go. Unfortunately it wasn’t great. Went for breakfast and the eggs were the most bland, dry and basic we’ve ever had out and about. Gave up after a few mouthfuls. Coffee was ok as was a very small toasted foccacia. The menu had an error on whether something was available gluten free or not and the service was pretty basic at best. It’s also fine to get people to order at the counter but it’s good to give people the menu to have a look at when they come in. Maybe breakfast just isn’t their thing and a cake and coffee later in the day might have worked out better. Definitely an interesting quirky shop though.

We are doing the great eastern drive, and I was recommended to try this place along the way, especially because I am a vegan, so I was really looking forward to it, however we got there at 3:20pm on a Monday, and it felt like we were a burden right away since they were closing at 4pm, they wouldn’t do a wrap because they said the kitchen was closed, they only wanted to reheat things, I accepted this and ordered something else, however, they seemed bitter about everything, and whilst the food was nice, the attitude was a total turnoff and therefore I honestly wouldn’t recommend it.
