Stayed as a family at the Stanton B&B for three nights over Easter. What a find this is!! Lovely old 2 storey house set on 16 acres with so much character. Lisa is an amazing host. Nothing was too much for her. Pumpkin soup and homemade bread awaited us on arrival, homemade biscuits, complimentary port and even Easter eggs on Sunday morning. Rooms were quaint with so much history. Beds extremely comfortable. Three rooms in the house and then a rustic shack out the back. The verandah was lovely to relax on and have a drink before dinner. Bar fridge well stocked if you needed some drinks. As for breakfast - each was a highlight - a great choice - including a yummy homemade muesli, eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, capsicum, toast, fruit and yoghurt as well as great coffee. We felt very at home at Stanton and at some stage will return!

Room Tip: Every room is lovely and each has their own bathroom.

Loved our stay here for 2 nights. A 200 year old homestead so beautifully decorated with a quant cottage look and special touches by host Lisa. Add in a beautiful room, fresh farm produce for the fantastic breakfasts, the geese and other farm animals, the peace and solitude and a wonderful host and you have an amazing stay.
This place is perfectly placed, as it is within distance for many of the places you can visit.
A place good for your soul.

What an exquisite historical place! We spent two wonderful nights and enjoyed the magnificent cooking of Lisa. She went to great lengths to provide gluten free meals for us and we appreciated her choice of local quality food ingredients. The rooms were comfortable and charming. We loved the tea room and homemade biscuits. Provision of Port was an added bonus, along with marshmallows for toasting at the log fire. It was fascinating to hear the history of the property, especially about the holdup by a bush-ranger.

Room Tip: All the rooms are comfortable and charming.

Lisa is a sensational host. Every traveller’s need is anticipated. Her breakfasts are wonderful and her laugh is infectious. How lucky were we to sit on the verandah and listen to all the sounds of the country including frogs. We had dinner one night as well which was homely and delightful. A relaxing place to stay. Highly recommended.

There is something very special about Stanton Bed and Breakfast, the location is stunning, the bedrooms are beautifully finished and the owners are incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. My husband and I travelled in late December and wished we had visited sooner. Stanton is perfectly located, close to Hobart, Mona Museum, Mount Field National Park and the Salmon ponds. The area around the b&b is very scenic and the donkey, sheep and geese on the property are an added bonus along with Lisa's fantastic breakfasts!

Room Tip: All rooms are special in their own way
