Lived up to its reputation: attentive and respectful service, and a small but appealing menu showcasing local and seasonal produce. Food was well paced in its delivery - and all dishes were delicious. Restaurant was empty when we arrived at midday but it was soon busy. One tiny negative: even though there were plenty of tables to choose from, staff made odd seating choices for patrons. We (a couple) were seated smack bang in the middle of an empty, long communal table; a single woman was seated next to a couple. Felt a little awkward. I’m sure staff would have accommodated any seating requests if made, though.

I rented a car purely to come here. Being a Sydneysider, this place reminds me of Biota Dining. Innovative & interesting menu. My only feedback is their service can be warmer, nicer with less use of salt.

Excellent locally sourced produce prepared in a very classical French manner. The space is excellent. Having come here for Mike Parr's Asylum exhibited a few years back when this restaurant was under construction, I can say they have done an excellent job of reviving a classic building. We drove in on the weekend without a booking, and were seated. I would recommend booking ahead if visiting on the weekend. Their Bastille Day feast looks like an amazing bargain, and if you are into French food, I can't imagine a better time and place to visit anywhere in Australia.

Amazing space. Amazing food and just the place to be. We had such a great meal and loved the location and history of the building. We will definitely be back as it's an evolving menu. Plus we also will visit The Drill Emporium which is near by and also an amazing place to shop at !
