This place is not cheap but there’s not much else in the area so...

The room was fine but nothing special for the cost. Things like charging $3.50 for a bottle of water that would be provided free at most accommodation is pretty annoying when you’ve paid a heap already. The food was way overpriced and the only thing for vegans was a tiny bowl of soup. Breakfast was a nice spread for a big price but it was good that they provided soy milk.

On the positive side, it is a beautiful location and very close to the national park. There was a pademelon outside our window in the evening which was pretty special! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The common spaces (lounges, bar etc.) were very nice and comfortable.

I'll start by saying the staff were Amazing: courteous, friendly, do anything for you.

Location - great.

Overall a very happy place and loved spending the evening in front of the fire playing games with half the pieces missing, which added to the fun.

Couches galore and fires abound, even in the gallery which was delightful.

This is a great place for families but not for light sleepers like me. The walls are extremely thin, your door faces a corridor which everyone walks past chatting (happily) and you will feel every thump going past and from adjacent rooms.

We had one night here at the hotel. We arrived early and were able to access our room (thank you!!!) we needed a snooze!
After walking around Dove Lake, we decided a game of pool in the lounge and some dinner in the bar was needed.
Food was okay... not as good as I remember it?
We ate then relaxed in front of the fire. We were made to feel very welcome.
Very expensive food (there isn’t any other choices out there) but overall, we had a comfy bed, clean room/ bathroom, great service and we will recommend to all our friends.
Thank you.

Great welcoming staff by the name of Steph. Helpful and very knowledgeable about the Cradle Mountain area. Unfortunately thats where the positives ended.

The room was nothing but far from the pictures advertised.
Bathroom reminded me of an Age care facility, room was outdated, cold and dusty. We had to request for a portable heater which was looked after by Steph!

Dinner was horrific.
The front of house staff member (K...e) had a poor attitude.
The food was over priced and tastless.
We ordered the "Hot Stone", had both the meat and seafood option.
Was very impractical to eat as they served raw meat on the single plate, expecting you to put cooked food back on or have it overcooked on the stone.
The meat itself was poor quality and off colour.
Ended up ordering another meal - seafood risotto which was bland.

I have never been so keen to leave a hotel before.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at cradle mountain hotel. The staff on reception, at the bar, restaurant and house keeping were all very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and good value for money. We visited the other accommodation places in the area and this was the best pick. I would certainly recommend this property.
