Butlins at Bognor Regis;
Very poor Sefaty standards!
Where to start! Staid for 4 days, very disappointed.
From the hotel hallways: Corner wall on each room entry, screws out on floor 2-3 days laying about, no one have paid attention!
Car park: Selling tickets to visitors, knowing how many visitors they will have and not providing enough parking spaces! Even if you park along the street, where there is no sign/line is restricting you to park, you’ll still get complain not to park there as it is not something they are interested to know!
Sefaty of children: Live 220v cable sticking out of light bollard and laid above ground just outside play ground/food place. Utterly unacceptable!
Security in and out: Once any one is in and have tag on their arm, they can drive out and bring as many people as they like without getting checked! All they are doing is, check the driver if they got tag on their arm, not the passengers, they could have as many in the car as they wish without register.
Alcohol: They are happy to sell alcohol as much as you would wish, not bother the condition of the person, but not providing their safety as expected to be drunk!
Fencing all around: No signage telling you where the nearest access gate is if some of the gates are getting closed certain hours! Not having any sign as well as pictured explained to telling anyone who wish to climb over that it is strictly forbidden as could harm or in some cases could be fatal. This could be a child, a drank person, lost person, a someone who does not speak english which would need clear explanation of signage how to act etc.

Strictly advising to keep away. This place does really needs a big time HSE visit! As they are absolutely out of order to make money and not providing safety of individuals!!!
Would never step a foot there again!

I booked a Monday to Friday stay and left Wednesday morning after wiping my feet on the way out.
Close to £800 for four nights stay and breakfast and evening meal inc for one adult and one child of 6.
Premium dining !!!! I had a job to find any taste in any of it.
I was under no preconceptions that it’s going to be all about the kids, but it was as close to a funfair concentration camp as I could imagine.
Really really disappointed.
Don’t book your room thinking your going to get the room on the images.
The 1920’s sheds have had a lick of paint and new beds but it’s rotten and stinks of cats pee and mould, with a hint of foot fungus...
Sadly you can hear parents conversations four rooms away. !!!
The whole place felt greasy and knackered...
If your squinting and have no tastebuds or sense of smell then it could be ok...
I guess just stay drunk and it’ll be a pleasure.

2nd year returning after first year was a great break and kids loved it. This year was the same fantastic, lots to keep kids busy from live shows with telly tubbies,Mr men and butlins own skyline gang. Also plenty of rides including fairground that's all free. Evening entertainment is good but need to get there early to get good view. Beach is only outside so no need to take car. Dinner hall is good, we only had breakfast and evening meal but great selection to sort all. We have booked it again for next year.

All in all a lovely week away. One negative is that we were in the most standard accommodation and they were quite basic but the main issue with them is that the rooms only have blow out heaters so it was cold and they didn’t warm the place up. Justin show was good and the little one enjoyed it.
Lots of activities going on throughout the day so plenty to keep the kids entertained. Bowling on site and under 5s are only £1 shame the adults weren’t a bit cheaper (think they are £6)
Swimming pool was a good temperature and was never too busy.
Didn’t eat at the restaurants so can’t comment on these but there is a papa johns and Burger King on site.
A lovely bagel shop along the seafront I would recommend.
Stay clear of the first hut you come too along the seafront as we had ice creams that were very runny and did not taste right at all!
The only other negative was quite a few things were closed (such as crazy golf) which I was surprised at this time of year I would have expected them to carry out the maintenance in the winter months.

We stayed as part of the ESF Football Tournament. On arrival at our gold apartment we all commented how roomy and clean it seemed. My 10 year old daughter then used the bathroom and unfortunately the lock broke and she was stuck inside. The staff at Butlins acted very quickly, we had 5 Butlins staff in the apartment within 15 minutes. They were great with my daughter and managed to get her out swiftly. Afterwards they found us and gave her a gift which was a really nice touch.

Apartment - really nice
Food - we had buffet breakfast at The Deck which was really lovely. Fish and Chips Takeaway was nice but our fish was cold so a bit of a dampener. We still enjoyed though
Drinks - Expensive. Top pub prices. I think should be a bit cheaper. We spent £110 on the first night. Bit tamer when the novelty wore off a bit
Entertainment - First night was fab. Little Mix were great and I think Spice Girls (few too many wines by that point). We had a dance and the kids enjoyed it. Sunday night we were looking forward to MacBusted, we headed down to Reds at 9.30pm to find it all locked up. No notice to say why or anything so we headed to Centre Stage to watch the other act but when we arrive they weren't on either. So that for us was a let down. Then we were told to leave Centre Stage quite early, 11pm I think it was.

All in all a great weekend with our kids and football parents. We enjoyed staying at Butlins and have registered to come again next year.

The children even said they want to come again on holiday without the football involved so they were impressed.
