We booked an accessible room for a two night stay. The room was clean and very large unlike most accessible rooms. The room was on the ground floor and the windows do not open but the heating was working and the room was at a nice temperature. The room was well insulated and we heard no noise from the car park. The ground floor is actually on the level 1 so there is a lift to get you to reception but that is the only lift in the entire hotel and everybody uses it so there can be waits at busy times.
Unfortunately the Beefeater where breakfast and evening meals are served suffered a gas leak on the second day and so was out of action. The hotel staff were very good advising of nearby eateries for evening meals and breakfast on the third day. We had prepaid for breakfast but that was automatically refunded.
My only gripe was that it was impossible to turn the shower on and off with dry let alone wet hands due toi the smooth design of the controls. I was assured that it could and would be eased.
A great place to stay to visit the brewery museum and the National Memorial Arboretum.More
