We visited Bloomsbury Biddenden for a 30th birthday weekend Celebration, and we were 3 couples paying above the odds to stay in a glorified tent in the countryside plot of rainy England. The plot was segregated from the toilets and showers. The hosts were incredibly rude and drunk!! They were un-accommodating for the basic minimum service of assistance with luggage. We felt incredibly uncomfortable with the staff and they were rude and cold and confrontational for no reason! It was awkward and decided to leave for the second night. Really disappointed we’ve had really pleasant staycations in England and this was poor to say the least. Don’t waste your money.

My husband, our dog, Oscar and I have just returned home from a brilliant weekend, celebrating our wedding anniversary, at Bloomsbury Biddenden. We had a great time and thought the grounds, facilities and accommodation were Fantastic. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Claudia & Russell :)

My husband and I recently stayed in a yurt at Bloomsburys. Claudia and Russell the owners were very warm and welcoming, giving us a tour of the site and facilities. We were even introduced to Scooter the Bloomsbury’s duck and his 3 lady friends. When shown to our yurt, the beautiful, bohemian interior exceeded all expectations! Twinkling fairy lights, encircled the sumptuous bed, creating an ethereal atmosphere. The bed itself was extremely comfortable and the bed linen, crisp and of high quality. The yurt and outside area were well-equipped as well as aesthetically pleasing. Tea and coffee; fridge and washing up facilities were all provided, as well as use of barbecue and fire-pit. We were assigned our own toilet and shower in the elegant shower block. Thought the classical music playing was a lovely touch too! As if that wasn’t enough, we were able to soak to our hearts content in the hot tub! Throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble for Claudia and Russell. We also felt very safe as all Covid guidelines and social distancing were adhered to. All in all, our stay at Bloomsbury’s was a magical, glamping experience!

My husband and I recently stayed for 2 nights in Yurt 1 - it was clean, spacious and cosy. It had a big double bed, fresh linen and nice furnishings. Outside we had our own outdoor furniture with campfire set up (and enough wood for the first night) along side our own basic outdoor kitchen!! this included a sink, fridge, hot plate, freezer, work bench, table and chairs. The kitchen was equipped with basic equipment - would suggest taking your own if going for more than a weekend!

Toilet area is clean and welcoming - each Yurt has its own toliet and shower allocated which was very nice and made you feel more comfortable.

There are 2 hot tubs on site which are available to hire (quite expensive and we had a large group in before us and it wasn't cleaned in between so would recommend the first dip of the day)

We ate at The Three Chimneys which is lovely - Taxis aren't easy to get so book in advance or drive if you don't have time to walk..... we couldn't get a taxi so the owner dropped us off which was very kind.

All in all we will be back with a bigger group and hopefully for longer next time
! thank you.
