Basic but good hotel. Pretty good bed and pillow. Windows do not open. Bathroom was clean. Only one socket at side of the bed (how is this still possible at newer hotels?). Restaurant dinner was very good. Breakfast was ok.

Thank you CPat50 for your feedback. We are nearly 9 years old and would most definitely add more sockets if we were starting again. Please to see you enjoyed everything else.

This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, and has several disabled rooms with wetrooms (rare). So imagine my disappointment when I found that while the disabled shower room is adapted, it is actually not very comfortable, easy or safe to use. And the mattress was so worn that, even after (prompt) replacement, I still ended up with backache (despite having brought my special mattress topper and pillow).

Also, the room is very poorly arranged despite being huge in size (if one includes the shower room). The TV is at a right angle to the bed and to the desk. That's because the disabled rooms double up as 'family rooms' and meet the needs of neither category of guests.

What is the point of a hotel room that neither provides a restful night, nor a comfortable shower? The fault lies with hotel management, not operational staff.

I have provided the hotel management with a detailed list of how they can (should?) improve their offering. A simple compromise could be to have at least 1 or 2 of the 11 or so disabled rooms designed 'for' disabled guests.

Good points:
Excellent staff. Great breakfast. Good location. Free disabled parking outside hotel (pointed out by reception staff although not advertised by hotel).

Will I visit again? Probably not, because even Premier Inn is able to do a better job at half the price.

Dear hopeithelps999, thank you so much for reviewing your stay with us and the very detailed list you provided of your suggestions.

The hotel has been opened 8 years with a number of regular guests who require disabled bedrooms. To date we have had very little negative feedback. These rooms are generally very well received.

These rooms do have sofa beds in which primarily are there for carers to use.

However we are working through your list and looking to see what we can do practically to address any of your points and as and when we complete a refurbishment we will take into consideration all of your feedback.

Thank you again
Kind Regards

A very convenient place that is a few yards away from on the train station, and a few minutes walk to the legendary old trafford ,home of Manchester United.
adjacent to a BBC studios ( or offices...I can’t really tell )
And surrounded by a decent number of restaurants and a supermarket.
A fair modern good sized room with a nice restaurant that serves a really nice breakfast buffet. A Starbucks at the lobby will always win my heart.

Stayed here a couple of times in the last few weeks. Staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable.

Water pressure in the showers is poor though and the lifts seem to take an age. The view from the landing on the 15th floor are very good but getting down to ground floor can take an eternity.

The discounted car parking at £10 per night is useful.
