I originally booked this break for 1 night to veiw the leisuer club, as i was thinking of joining, so as to use the Gym and the pool, and I thought it would be a good idea to really get a good idea of what it truly elt like before commiting.

Well here goes..........The Pool is literally like a paddling pool, and when you enter the pool area 'it is like entering an incinerator!!! the heat is 'truly unbelievable' enough to make you feel quite ill, and then you've got the gym, of which is tiny, only 1 machine of each, so when it is extra busy, you just wouldn't get a look in. The changing rooms are also very tight with space, and they are unisex, so this feels really awkward, the sauna is like a matchbox 2 people in it, and it's packed!!!!.............

............and as for the room we stayed in.......we actually stayed in the new rooms that have recently been added to the hote, so you are not actually in the hotel, so you check in at reception, and then you have'to come out of the hotel and walk quite a way to an outside building of rooms, of whch when entering, feel lke an office block, on entering the room, it initially looks very clean, of which you would expect, as it has only recently been bulit, however, on entering, in order to obtain electricity in your room ie: the lights working, you have'to slot your key card into a slot by the door, and when you have done this, and you switch the main lights on 'they are so bright and clinical, that you automatically want to turn them off, of which you try to turn the bedside lights on, and they do not work, so your either in full brightness, or completet darkness, also there is a light in the bathroom on a sensor that keeps flicking on and off continuously, even if yoyr not in there 'not good for migraine sufferers, or people with sensitive eyes. We was only given 1 key card, so when my husband had'to take this, whilst he went out of the room, i was left in a room with no lights on!!!! 'absolutely bizarre!!!, whom ever designed these rooms 'leave a hell of a lot to be desired??' and then to top it all, we was awoken at 5:45am by a very loud humming noise, and a full blast of constant cold blowing air, of which was blowing over us whilst in bed ''ridiculous!!!!' I was truly stunned into thinking, 'how on earth, could you enjoy your stay in this room!!!' the only positive thing about this room 'was the bed, I couldn't fault that, it was massive, and extremely comfortable, however, we had a terrible nights sleep, which was due to the bad design of this room.

The breakfast was very good, there was quite a variety 'so a very nice choice,' however, the evening meal, was very poor, the food was warm 'which was ver off-putting, and also 'very little portions 'my husband actuall thought they had give him a starter, instead of a main!!! 'Staff were pleasant though' I felt i needed to write this review, so as to make others aware of this 'prior to making a reservation' But please be aware: that we did not stay in the rooms within the hotel, so i cannot 'of course' comment on them'

Room tip: Be very wary of choosing rooms that have been recently added on to main hotel!!!

I would like to apologise for the team not explaining the light situation, two cards could have been given on check in or alternatively any other credit card or driving licence could have been used on the lights in the room.

Your review of the new rooms is the exact opposite of almost every other review I have my hands on since these rooms have opened so perhaps just leave that all to personal taste.

As for the leisure facilities, this is exactly what they are. We are not a major branded health club and do not charge the membership prices that these clubs do. I would suggest doing some homework and looking at pictures online in future, as this may provide a clue to what the facilities are actually like.

I don't understand why you would not want your dinner to be warm, and why it would be off putting if it was served warm.

Good place for a relaxing break amongst pretty countryside , near to NT properties. Lovely well equipped rooms. Great breakfast , imaginative dinners. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Small leisure centre to have a swim after a day out or a quick work out before breakfast.

We had no complaints about the hotel but as we were there to play golf we were extremely disappointed with the state of the Woosnam course. The dry cracked fairways were obviously the result of the recent weather conditions and perhaps couldn't be avoided but the state of the tee boxes and bunkers were badly prepared and not what we expected of a Leaderboard course.

Thank you for your review. The irrigation water shortages that we have faced recently have meant that we have not been able to irrigate fairways or tee boxes on the Ian Woosnam Course. We are working on getting this right but needed rainfall and a supply of water to be able to complete the repairs which we now have. These works will commence next week, from the 20th August.

I am sorry that the conditions affected your break with us and I hope you will give us a chance to impress in the future.

Ki9nd Regards
Carl

lovely views, not sure if any of the rooms have air condition, we stayed in an executive twin and it didnt but we were able to open the door. Lovely location and most of the staff were very friendly. The beds were really comfortable and everything was clean.

This may be good for golfers but it is also excellent if your are just like us non golfers who require a relaxing stay. We always start with a quick walk around the first and second holes before returning to the Bar for a drink or two before a quick swim in the pool. Then in the evening we go to the Bar before our normal excellent meal in the Restaurant, menu can be slightly limited but always very good [try the Pork Chop]. Then after a nightcap we return to our room for a very good nights sleep - not forgetting the full English Breakfast the next morning.

Once again many thanks Dale Hill and their excellent staff and YES we will see you again.

If you are looking at booking this venue for a stay I would strongly suggest contacting them direct to see what offers they have rather than using the normal on-line sites which are often not as cheap as you think.
