Stayed for wedding and the staff were very helpful and friendly. A great location and a great hotel. Food and service were excellent throughout the stay. The rooms and hotel were clean, well kept and nothing was too much troubvle. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and a place I would definately go back to.

We visited with 20 members of our car club for a Sunday luch meeting. Our party was given our own dinning room which was beautiful as were all the other rooms we saw - quality ans style from the Victorian era. The service was very polite and professional and the food outstandingly good. We have never been to Felixtow before and after a quick drive round felt that a return visit with a stay at The Orwell hotel is very likely.

facilities nice and clean, quiet pleasant surroundings made welcome on arrival by reception check-in was easy, breakfast was very poor and rushed which I was not happy with you got the feeling that the waitress's just want you to leave as soon as you could so they could stand around talking between themselves...

Very friendly staff & waiting staff. Fantastic silver service given. The old building of the hotel offers a lot of history and is quite lovely to look at.
Great location - opposite rail station, but very quiet. Lovely.

We have been coming to this hotel for years and went back this weekend. We have always been amazed by the service and overlooked the slightly dated decor and tiredness. However it is now very apparent that no investment is going into the upkeep of this very tired old lady. The staff are still providing an excellent service and the food is good value for money. What a shame it appears to look more shabby each time we come and we are concerned that in the end it will fall into total disrepair.

Room Tip: 2nd floor is quiet and garden rooms are light
