Make sure you book well in advance!! Socius can get fully booked very quickly and we could see why when we visited for my birthday.. It is perfectly situated in Burnham Market and inside, you'll find a beautifully furnished and sociable space that welcomes anyone!
The service is impeccable and every one of us had a clean plate at the end. We all said that is was the best Sunday lunch we had ever had! Whichever day you go, you are guaranteed to be wowed by a menu, which changes daily, that you won't have seen before! A must-try.

We thought twice about going here because of the location (in a car park) and the slightly unexciting online menu but were swayed by the reviews on here. We are so glad we were. By far the best food we had all week in Norfolk and comparable to food we have had at much more expensive restaurants.

The focaccia was like the best fried bread ever. The Sticky Prawns were meaty and full of flavour. The pork cheeks were beautifully tender though they did need the harissa mayo for flavour. Gem lettuce with blue cheese was fresh and just what we needed to perk us up. Never before have my kids enjoyed eating kidneys and liver but they did here. The flavours were rich and powerful but cut with much needed acidity.

There was hardly a mis-step in the whole meal but the few small things they could improve were:

- the asparagus could have done with a little more bite and the crispy fried egg didn’t work; it was a bit soggy and the white added nothing - better to just do a (properly) crispy fried runny yolk;

- the pork cheeks would be better with the harissa flavour in them and something other than mayo as an accompaniment as the creaminess didn’t work well with the gelatinous cheeks; and

- the peaches should be peeled and the meringue in that dish should be drier and crispier.

Overall, though, it was excellent. Anyone who can get my kids eating vegetables and offal is something close to a magician.

The service was great too and the wine was decent (we went for a Jurancon Sec).

I suspect tables are going to be hard to come by in the summer.

We called in a week ago at lunch time .Plenty of spare tables. But I expect not for too long. So book. During the summer I expect this tappas restaurant will be very popular and quite rightly so.The food was different and excellent. Attractively presented and very good in the mouth. Plenty of choice

Lucky getting a table for lunch on Saturday, without booking, just before another couple was turned down.
Natalie and the chef Dan Lawrence, and Dan #2 for the pudding dishes, have been wonderful and very professional.
The dishes were perfectly cooked and well presented.
The caramelised cauliflower mousse with the pork cheek was a pure delicacy. The quail with its pea and parmesan purée was equally tasteful. To follow, we enjoyed the calves liver and the John Dory plates both cooked to perfection.
Divine puddings ended a perfect meal that we can’t wait to repeat very soon.
The open kitchen is immaculate with chef and staff working in total harmony without any disturbing kitchen noise. All seem to be well in place to allow a smooth workflow.
A great addition to North Norfolk already large list of interesting establishments.
With Morston Hall, Cromer Upstairs N°1, Gunton Arms and some more, North Norfolk is definitely one county to be added on any gastronomic aficionados' must visit bucket list.
Highly recommended.

Went here for my sons birthday, it is sort of English tapas. They say pick 3 or 4 dishes each then share. As there were 4 of us we just went through the whole menu and I am so glad we did, every dish was beautifully presented and just enough of everyone to have a taste. Not sur you could manage this if there is only 2 of you. You must leave room for desserts as they are delicious. They do some great cocktails too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It would be a good place for lunch too.
I would highly recommend this restaurant
