Perfect start to our trip in the lakes! From the staff to the location could not recommend it more. Absolutely beautiful spot - so tranquil and peaceful with beautiful views to soak up and enjoy. We could have sat on the balcony area with a drink in hand enjoying the views for hours on end. Food was also delicious and we felt really looked after our entire stay.
Also, very close to skiddaw and other nearby walks as well as Keswick, Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite lake.
Not a negative for us as wanting to escape it all, but signal and internet reception was patchy, so if this isn’t important for you just worth noting.

This hotel was amazing, the grounds are beautiful with fantastic views of the mountains and it is a peaceful situation. The food was outstanding, very satisfying and colourful with very little waiting. The establishment is well run and immaculate. The only thing I regret is not being able to book a bigger bed. This hotel is clearly so popular we could only get a double room at the top of the property, room 20. Although very pleasant , the bed was rather small and did disrupt our sleep quality. I would however definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

Fantastic hotel with grand views and very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with a variety of high quality tasty options. The dining room has majestic views of the fells, and the house is located amongst sheep spotted fields of the Lake District. Great value for your pound!

We stayed as a family of three for one night in August.
The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean.
The evening meal was delicious and the views from the dining area were lovely even though it was cloudy on our visit. Breakfast was all waiter service and again was lovely.
Plenty of parking at the front of the hotel. A special thank you to Jane on reception who arranged our booked very efficiently.
We will definitely stay again.
