22 members of our family from Scotland and England descended on this house for a week long holiday. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The bedrooms, each with modern en-suite, were spacious and furnished to a high standard, there was lots of communal space for the children to run around in and the kitchen was clean and very well equipped. The hot tub, table tennis room and sauna were all well used. The house itself is located within easy reach of lots of attractions so we were never at a loss for things to do. Mobile phone reception was poor but you can easily link to the house wifi so not a problem. All in all, a superb place to stay.

With its beautiful setting in the fields of Ulverston, this former hotel is an ideal location for a holiday rental for large groups (ours was more than 20). Lots of space for kids to run around, and for everyone to have fun and relax, including a hot tub and games room. Large catering kitchen and other facilities too. Great place to use as a base to explore the stunning Lake District.

Stayed at eden lodge in feb. Starting at first impressions . The two bay windows on approach to front of house give a run down unkempt impression. On entering the hall there is a old reception desk which takes up so much space and is not used at all. On the left off the hall is a very big spacious homely sitting room with a bar separating the smaller seating area. There is also a very large conservatory which is used as the dining room. The kitchen is very well equipped and has 2 cookers so catering for 30 was easy. That's it as far has communal space goes. The rest of the house is taken up by bedrooms and a separate small apartment on top floor. There is a games room outside which the younger adults and children used everyday. There is also a sauna and hot tub. Both of which were used everyday. The house is clean and comfortable but by no means luxurious. Overall we had a lovely break and would recommend for a family who want to be together but don't need 5*. Only one complaint was that the gentlemen who services the hot tub seemed to be around a lot and this felt a little intrusive.

Eden Lodge is an ideal venue for large family groups to have a holiday away together. All the rooms are spacious and well furnished due to its previous use as a hotel. The bathrooms look to of been recently refurbished and most of the rooms have king size beds. The lounge area easily accomodated the 24 of us staying there without being on top of each other. The kitchen was well equipped making cooking for large groups very easy. The lounge and dining areas are sufficient to accommodate all 29 of us. The games room and Jacuzzi was used extensively throughout our stay and the locality meant we could walk into the local villages or to the beach easily. Our overall stay was great and we would definitely look at booking again in the future.
