We stayed at El Dorado Seaside Suites Infinity side - Maya Riviera November 30 - December 15, 2020

We love this resort! We have visited multiple times and each year it just gets better! The service and staff are outstanding. The food is delicious and there are so many options for dining! The grounds are beautiful, the drinks plentiful and the excellent staff keep us coming back.

This visit was a bit different as we usually stay on the Palms side. Due to limited occupancy, we were on the 5th floor of the Infinity building. Gorgeous room with spectacular views! The Palms beach (where we spent our days) was just a short walk or cart ride.

The people that really made our holiday special this visit are:

Exotic Travelers:

Carlos Herrera
We were so happy to see Carlos. He is the anchor for Exotic Travelers at EDSS. Always has a smile and is happy to answer any questions we have regarding the resort and Exotic. It’s always great to be so well taken care of throughout our stay. We know we are always in good hands with Carlos.

Patricia
We were very happy to see and chat with Patricia at the front desk at Exotic. She helped us with our pre-arrival requests. Everything was perfect upon arrival. Patricia is friendly and personable while still professional and we look forward to continuing to work with her.

Ingrid - Room Division Manager
Ingrid allows the butlers to take perfect care of us. Her ability to allow the butlers and others go the extra mile makes a huge positive impact and is so appreciated!

Butlers:

Ana
We were so hopeful that we would have Ana as our butler again this visit and our wish was granted. Ana is wonderful! She asks and verifies our requests. Everything is handled efficiently with great attention to detail. Nothing is too much trouble and if she says something will be done it is done. We hope to have Ana as our butler every visit!

Ivan
We also requested Ivan for our butler again this visit and were lucky to have our request granted. He is a kind, thoughtful person that also took care of our every need. We hope to see Ivan for many years to come.

Arturo (both Arturos)
The 2 Arturos rounded out our butlers and offer the same excellent service that Ana and Ivan provide. Always with a smile and welcoming demeanors. We hope to see both every year!

Housekeeping kept our room immaculate and added little special touches each day. Really made our stay special Housekeeping staff has been top notch over the years.

Always wonderful to see Alejandro. I see him help so many people by answering questions on Trip Advisor and he is a great resource for resort questions. He always greats us with a warm smile, chats with us a while and let us know he was there should we need anything. So appreciated!

The cart drivers are always great. They make getting around the resort fun!

Mezcalitos:

We were so happy to see Victor bartend at Mezcalitos. Victor is one of the people we look forward to seeing every year.

Beach Service Sensimar:

Joaquin, Suemy & Regina were our gals at the beach. Never had to wait for a drink or a pleasant conversation. They were quick, efficient and always asked if we needed anything else. Tomas, Manuel, Arturo & Ana were the beach butlers. They all went above and beyond this visit. Between the all of them, we were totally spoiled.

Our airport transportation was through Lomas and Angel & Sacaree made sure it was quick and seamless.

Vinnie checked us in when we arrived around 10pm. Very courteous and informative.

Concierges:

The concierges made us feel very welcome in the Infinity building. This visit Lauren always had a quick smile, an “is there anything I can help you with” and taking the time to chat for a few minutes. The staff is what makes this resort!

As always, our only regret this year was not seeing Lucy & Estella serving drinks on the beach. We’ve known them since our first visit in 2008 and have had the pleasure of being served by them every year. They are both truly missed.

We seriously could name every single person we came in contact with! Fabulous resort, fabulous room, fabulous vacation.

We were in the Infinity section down from the pool, a HUGE plus is on this side you can see the beautiful palm trees and ocean, a downside it can get super loud since your room is down from the pool. The good thing is the door keeps out noise very well, but one of the days it got so loud at the pool we couldn’t enjoy being outside on the balcony luckily it was only one day :o) . This resort is taking COVID super super serious which is refreshing all wait staff wear masks and some face shields and masks. Hand sanitizer is pumped in your hands every restaurant when you walk in the door. The service was sooo very surprising all staff were friendly and helpful and upbeat every time we saw them!!! They cared about their jobs and it showed!!! Our waiters Wiburt(driftwood), Ventura(gourmet pub), Antonio(klay taly and italian) were by far the best waiters we have ever had at any restaurant ever!!! We have had excellent service but at this resort it is by far the best. We had our first concierge Eric asking would we like coffee and mimosas and at what time, also did we like our pillows we didn’t know how to answer that question he gave us 5 options WOW WOW WOW!!!! The room is HUGE, super comfy bed, a shower room I call it and jacuzzi in the bathroom which we absolutely loved!!!! The food everywhere we ate was absolutely AMAZING, excellent excellent drinks everyday all day. We were concerned about getting full since generally gourmet food means nice to look at but you leave hungry. The food quality definitely top notch and high quality, the presentation gorgeous. We were just wanting to get away from the long hard 2020 with some relaxation and good vibes and we got that+++++++. We only rate it very good and not excellent due to the SUPER SUPER LONG HARD sell on the membership program which we had heard about but didnt know exactly what that meant. We were told it would only be a hour and it was 3 hours of us telling them NO, they would not take NO for a answer, when we thought back on it we should’ve just walked out while they were talking. I cant recall how many times we told them that we were not going to make a decision and why couldn’t they email us all the information they were talking about. We have never sat through a presentation before(time shares) and if we knew thats what we were going to we would’ve never went. After all we weren’t sure what a presentation was, now we do. That is the only bad thing we have to complain about, it was almost perfect. Thats the only complaint. Everything from the staff, resort, food, service, room is excellent excellent excellent!!!!! We will definitely go here again we stayed 6 days wasnt long enough we have something to look forward to!!!!

2nd time we have been here in the last 2 years. So relaxing, so beautiful. The staff is wonderful. Highly recommend Aldo - simply the best service we have experienced. His care, attention to detail, and genuine personality are truly assets to the experience.
