We enjoyed a mid November timeshare week at Fairway Forest. The unit was clean and well stocked with usual timeshare items. Furniture and countertops were slightly dated, but perfectly fine. Appliances newer. A bit musty upon first entrance, but it gave us a good reason to use our lemongrass essential oil! The deck view was awesome overlooking golfcourse...very private units. We made great use of community and re reational center about two miles away. Miss Judi served a great Tuesday AM breakfast. We enjoyed the last of the season Jeep ride through Nantahalla Forest with Wildwaters Adventures. Mica's Restaurant offered great food...ask for Paige to serve you! We were in awe of the many waterfalls in the Sapphire Valley.

Stayed for 36 hours on our way south. VERY glad we weren't staying longer! It's a long time since we've stayed in such an outdated and shabby timeshare. Frankly it smelled awful. Damp and decaying smell, I suspect mostly from the very old dirty carpets and the elderly 1980's woodwork. We were in a 2 person, 1 bedroom unit. There where two good points: The very large and very comfortable king size bed with lovely clean white linen; and the enormous array of cooking implements in the kitchen.
BUT: entrance was straight into a tiny sitting area with 2 old armchairs and a small tv. Then you went downstairs to the kitchen/eating area which had no outside window and was dark with the tiniest kitchen area. And the stove must have been the original one; I would not have trusted the buckled rings. There was the usual fridge/freezer, coffee machine, toaster, builtin microwave, blender. But nowhere to put your own supplies. Big understairs cupboard held an excellent washer with separate large dryer. Through the living area was a large bedroom with basin and small balcony; shower room; and through room with a jacuzzi tub. It felt as though we were living in a dark warren. The window and balcony looked out at dense trees. No view and no light. The two white plastic chairs on the balcony were covered in mold.I would not sit on them.
We arrived after 5pm - so had to get key from the Security window in next building as the office closes at 5pm. Crazy! Who can get there before 5 if you have a drive from home? Checkin is not near either the resort center or the condo, although that's not a problem. BUT we were told we had to return next morning to check in again. We did not; we wanted a quiet morning and did not want to go out in the car again and drive a few miles to check in again! The facilities such as pool and fitness center are nearly 2 miles away, but again that's not a problem and means the condos are quiet and secluded, which we like. However if you had kids they could not go without you driving them. There is wifi in the condo, which is great.

This place needs a do-over and update. It is old, outdated and smells awful. We had no view, just trees.

We booked two weeks here. Unit wasn't available until 2 hours after check-in, then it wasn't even clean. Unit is dated and beds aew awful. The second week we received no service, which meant dirty sheets and towels unless we purchased detergent and wash sheets in two loads because the washer was so small and wash towels. We scheduled cleaning for Saturday morning but no one showed up. Unfortunately there I no one in the office after noon on Saturday or all day on Sunday, so we couldn't even complain. Our keys wouldn't work after a week but we were not told we had to get new ones after a week. I would strongly recommend not staying here. Go some other place in the area.

This resort is still somewhere between 78-85....
It's been along time since I've seen so much honey blonde scratched up furnishings & matching baseboards, door trim & matching staircase made from lightly router finished 2x4's.
Did i mention the spiral stove elements that were installed with the cabinets sometime in 1976-77 - yes the cabinets smell like aged wet pressboard at your grandmother's barn!

Our condo was in a building with three other condos. There are 24 buildings on the property but they are separated by woods. Our deck looked directly into the woods. It was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. We had a two bedroom unit but only needed one; however, the lock-off bedroom and master bath was more spacious than the main unit. The main unit had a small bathroom with a combo tub/shower. The lock-off unit had a shower, Jacuzzi, and large counter with a sink. The bedroom had a vanity as well. Furniture was very comfortable. There are no recreational facilities on property. However, there is an association recreational facilities about 1.7 miles from the condo. The recreational facility has both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs plus a full exercise room with a lot of cardio equipment and weights. They run a day camp for kids and there is children's playground. Very family friendly.
