My husband and I spent a week at this resort in March with his parents. The setting is absolutely beautiful! We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. The lower level is a master suite. The room is large with a king-sized bed and a small private balcony. There is a large bathroom with a huge jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. There was also a small washer and dryer downstairs. The main level had a fully equipped kitchen and a nice living room area, along with a bedroom with 2 twin beds, a bathroom, dining room, and large deck. The view from the deck overlooked the golf course. The unit was clean and well maintained. We had access to a fairly large indoor pool, 2 hot tubs, and wet and dry saunas. You did have to drive to it - it was several miles away, but nice. The only complaint we had is that the grills provided were also far away and they don't allow grilling near the units. It's just not practical to drive back and forth to grill food and bring it to the unit if you don't want to make it a picnic. We enjoy our grilling so we were not happy about that. We found some great restaurants in the area - namely The Orchard in Cashiers and Haywood Smokehouse in Dillsboro. They were both fabulous! Our favorite day was the day that my husband and his father golfed and my mother-in-law and I got a second card and drove around the course with them just to enjoy the scenery. It was beautiful and we had a wonderful day! It was well worth the price of the extra cart! There is a nice local grocery store in Cashiers where you can pick up just about anything you need. We made a Sam's Club stop in Knoxville, TN on our way down. There are stairs down to the unit, so people with mobility issues should be aware of that. We loved our week here and would recommend it for a quiet mountain retreat!

Fairway Forest is a great place to stay. We had a two bedroom, two bath condo with full kitchen. Great fireplace and nice size deck. The bathtub in the master was made for two! The property was very quiet. Nice golf course if you play golf. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud! So comfy! The recreation center wasn't onsite, but just a short couple of miles away, and worth checking out. The fitness equipment, space and even an outside running track were very nice. The indoor pool and hot tubs were also nice, although we didn't make use of them. The people at check in were friendly, and their concierge was great - very helpful and called a couple of times during the week to make sure everything was okay with our condo. We would definitely go there again.

We had a wonderful time! Our accommodations were spacious and perfect for two families with children! I loved that there were many options of activities. We will definitely be returning here hopefully when it is snowing! My only complaint was the staff attitude and supplies at the recreation center were dissapointing. There were no towels for the pool or quarters for the arcade and the attitude of the staff was gruff bordering on rude...But not enough to dampen the fun we had!!

.The kitchen was well equipped, rooms were clean. Pool is not within walking distance of the rooms. There are steps in the unit but was a bedroom on the main floor as well.It suited what we were looking for.
