Can't rate this resort enough! It's my third visit and will definitely go back.
It's the original first holiday park and has still maintained its traditional values of good simple but quality family fun. It's not for the families that like 'all singing, all dancing, full-on, noisy amusement' parks, but still has plenty to do in a beautiful location where you want lots of fun and relaxation.
It's indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym and spa, huge indoor games room, free mini golf, table tennis, snooker and lawn boules, along with its fantastic food, superb cleanliness, happy, helpful staff (who cannot do enough and are happy to help, please and make sure your stay is perfect and who really enjoy their job) along with the stunning quiet location of rambling hills one side and amazing beach for body boarding the other, makes this the perfect mix of tranquility and enjoyment.
The evening entrainment was again good clean fun, not loud and overbearing, with a quiet lounge bar to watch tv, play cards or join in the quiz.
I hope this resort never changes and stays the same as it has since the 1920's, where family and relaxation comes first.
The Thatch pub (5-10 mins walk) at the end of the road in the tiny village (where there's a weekly craft fair) has live music, great food and cider also.More
