I have stayed at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel over 100 nights this past year for business. The staff are amazing and attentive and always make sure to accomodate my needs. They often reward my loyalty with upgrades to executive and governors suites, bottles of wine etc. Dinner in the lounge is a full course meal every night- not just snacks like at other hotel lounges. The new renovated gym is top notch- clean, plenty of room and a good variety of equipment.
Although it took someone a while to Assist us with our luggage, the staff and managers were super friendly and super accommodating to ensure that our stay would be a pleasant one. The front office manager Spencer, took it upon himself to ensure that we got everything we needed, and got it in great timing. Overall experience was very good, and the staff demonstrated the importance of hospitality, and how it can go a long way in making a great customer experience! i'll definitely be back again.
We were in town for a nearby wedding and location was perfect. Room nice, clean, not necessarily large but more than adequate. Hotel was busy but rooms quiet. Entrance very confusing when you pull up, but with bellman’s assistance worked out the little traffic jam. Confusing when you enter as check in is on second floor, and not well marked. Check in was fast and pleasant. Used valet parking. Would have no problem staying again for downtown activities.
The hotel is very nice and they have put a substantial investment into the physical plant. The banquet F&B was also very good quality with nice service. The issues were in the details. The bellmen at the area where you check in don't pay attention and don't offer their assistance (not just us; we saw others with the same issues). It is a confusing area, the front desk is on the second floor and the parking lot is across the street. If they would simply offer their assistance, much of the time wandering around getting your bearings would be eliminated. The front desk customer service agent didn't offer any assistance with navigation either. She also didn't ask if we were parking a vehicle. I asked her if I needed anything to get into the parking lot and she then gave me a magnetic key to use when exiting. The final issue was that we really wanted a nice full breakfast on the Saturday morning prior to getting back on the road. We placed our order hanger on the door as instructed but it was never retrieved and we had to drink poor quality in room coffee and hit the Bojangles drive thru on the road out of town
Bathrooms had very little counter space. Bathroom door very difficult to close. Made two calls about a terrible smell in hallway that lingered for at least 3 hours. TV was only 32" and old. Room generally felt a little dirty with several stains on carpet. One small dead bug on comforter. Elevators dirty and in need of cosmetic repair. NO POOL, closed in 2018. Light bulb out in one of two lamps in all of main room. A/C could barely keep room cool enough...in January with outside temp at 55. If thermostat set above 67, room was very humid. This place needs help.
