Went here on a recomendation.Short walk from our Marriot downtown hotel.Were seated by friendly helpful waitress.Ordered fresh bagette while we decided.Whole menu,which is fairly short is printed on a blackboard.2 girls chose seabass with spring black-eyed peas.Guys both choose beef short ribs au poive with swiss chard.Ordered a side of charred brussel sprouts with oyster mushrooms in sauce.Everything was excellent.My sister said the bass was her favorite meal of our 1 week trip.Our short ribs may have been the best I've ever had.Prices good,all around $26.oo..For dessert we shared lemon tart that was great,nice and sour.Overall one terrific meal.

Informal place, awesome staff, great wines, great food, price was right. Makes me wish I lived here :-) Can't wait to try the sister pizza place tonight!

I heard of this restaurant while visiting another Jame's Beard recognized restaurant in Minneapolis. Here's my take. This restaurant has character, it has exceptional food, no set menu, and a helpful efficient staff. I love the repurposing of an old diner into a unique cool restaurant. This place is unique. That being said...it is also overpriced. $32 for chicken? $28 for a short rib? I will probably try it again to futher explore some of the menu items but I will stay away from the expensive main items and stick to the sides and other items. If you are looking for a cool place with a good vibe then check it out.

Always good. Not much selection but you can’t go wrong. Had a brusslesprout salad. Wonderful flavor not over powering. Had the nc bass. The fish was cooked perfectly. The bean salad it was on top of was fresh and wonderful. Friends had chicken and mash potatoes and loved it. We all shared her famous Mac n cheese. Plus chess pie. Everything was great. Only complaint the wine list is very expensive. They need some more reasonable wines cheapest which was good is $35. A glass of wine $16. They dont need to be that expensive.

Service was very good. Staff was friendly. The Mac n Cheese was rich and tasty. Pimento cheese app was average. Bibb salad was ok. Both were overpriced. The lump crab and cornbread app was very good. The sauce for the scallop and shrimp entree was disappointing. The roast chicken entree was tasty. Both were overpriced at $32 and 30 each. Beer and glass of wine were overpriced too. I would not go back. Not worth the money.
