My wife and I came here for the first time, for our anniversary celebration. Heard great things about this place. The first thing we noticed was how nice and extravagant the property and restaurant were. Very nicely done, and definitely a sight to see. There was also a very nice covered outdoor waiting area with a full bar. Haven’t seen anything like that before at a restaurant. The inside was even nicer. Just an amazing place to visit. There are multiple dining rooms, each appearing to have a different theme of sorts. We were sat upstairs in the large open space of the “barn” and the lights were amazing. There is also a humidor for cigars inside, and a nice waiting area with a pretty cool display of a large colt revolver collection. Even the elevator seemed antique and very cool.
Now to the service. It was hands-down the best service we’ve ever had at a restaurant! From the hostess to the waitress, everybody was genuine and fantastic. There even appeared to be a manager for each room that walked around and checked in with each table.
As for the food, it was definitely good. But it just wasn’t quite worth the abnormally high cost of the meal. And the main entree portions were smaller than expected. There was a complimentary appetizer of homemade crackers and ritz crackers with two different homemade cheeses. It was a nice touch and we nearly finished it all. The pre-meal salad was very good, and a super large portion. The desserts were also expansive and good. We were given a complimentary pound cake, which I believe was for our anniversary. Although we noticed other tables got one too. It was a large cake, and very surprised to get it! It lasted 5 days between the two of us.
It’s easy to see that the super high prices you pay are including the atmosphere and service you receive. If you’re looking for the experience, then definitely check this place out.
