DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE IF YOU PLAN TO SLEEP, STUDY, FOCUS, etc. The noise is actually unbearable at night from 7pm until 2am from the surrounding bar(s) music volume. For someone used to city noise, this is beyond the normal live night volume I’m used to in DC and NYC.
The staff seems nice but definitely do not truthfully explain the experience on the website or at the front desk and tell you they can’t give you another room. Josh the manager will lie and do whatever he can to shut you up about it including make promises and then not follow through, allowing his staff to over charge you for things you did not request or opt in for (ex. we were charged for self-parking our entire stay but never asked for it and the staff saw us wait and Uber there and everywhere from their lobby).
Try literally anywhere else BLOCKS away from here.

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites Raleigh Downtown and leaving a description of your experience.
I regret learning that there were a few aspects to your stay that needed more attention and that your experience was less than the spectacular one we strive to achieve for each of our guests. However, we do thank you for your constructive feedback; this will be escalated and utilized when making future changes.
We apologize that there were noise disturbances. We do provide complimentary earbuds to alleviate some of the disturbance due to the vibrant nightlife surrounding us. However, we do recognize that sometimes this is not enough. I would also like to apologize if there was an irregularity that appeared on your bill at check-out, and consequently, you had to take time out of your trip to follow up on this issue.
Thank you for choosing us and we do wish you would consider giving us an opportunity to welcome you back to a much-improved visit.

Within a mile of the capital and museums. Easy parking across the street in a garage. Good breakfast with variety. Friendly and accommodating staff. Upon checking in, we were offered water and snacks.

Perfect place to stay in Raleigh! The staff was very accommodating and the hotel was very clean. Super close to downtown area if you are looking to explore a new city! Definitely would come back and stay there again.

Stayed here last night with my wife. Street noise was bad even on 6th floor but earplugs were provided so expected noise. I did not expect the air conditioning unit to sound like a tractor in the room so the street nose disappeared when it kicked in along with all thoughts of sleep.
The room was dirty and obviously not vacuumed and alarm bells should have went off then but I put it down to a simple oversight
The main reason for the terrible review is my interaction with a patronizing condescending rude female receptionist. I asked her about the mask mandate and why none of the 2 receptionists we had met were following it to be told - “It has been 18 months you know and the company can’t make us. It’s our decision “. As if I, or anyone on planet earth did not know how long the pandemic has lasted. The website should not speak to masked staff if it’s optional - this is misrepresentation
If the staff don’t wear masks for the sake of their customers- at least provide plexiglass separation for your customers
Rude staff are never going to be a good selling point in a service industry- I will NEVER return to this location

I am researching with our Front Desk team to learn more about the experience described, but please be aware that this is absolutely not a reflection of our team's quality, and attention to detail. Rest assured that masks and gloves are a requirement here and I will investigate why they were remiss on this occasion. I have never experienced otherwise with the team and so I remain confounded as to the occurrences on this occasion.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. You may rest assured this will be addressed and there will be no future occurrences.
I do apologize for the noise disturbances. We will task our Maintenance team with ensuring the HVAC unit is serviced. Also, I want to sincerely apologize for the housekeeping issues you encountered during your visit. We have shared your feedback with the Housekeeping Supervisor who has taken proper action to ensure these missed opportunities are not repeated. We hold ourselves to very high standards and should you stay with us again, we believe you'll see that this was an isolated incident.

The room was dirty it had not been vacuum and we had no shower curtain, in the two days there no one came to clean the room. Even after we complained and i had to call for chargers on my credit card and they charged me for parking without asking did i have a car.
