From check in to check out our stay was very good. The front desk staff folks were so nice. We always heard a hello or have a good evening as we came through the doors. The breakfast staff was super accommodating. The area was kept neat and well stocked. There are large bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash mounted to the bathroom wall which was super convenient. I know there were several sports teams in the property but we heard nothing at night (!!) My only real issue is that the room lighting was not sufficient for the space. An extra lamp or brighter bulbs would have been lovely. I would stay here again.

This hotel was convenient to all we wanted to do in Raleigh; the room was clean; the shower was great! The food for breakfast was FANTASTIC! The lady handling it was swamped, but did an amazingly positive job!!! She deserves a medal!!! The beds and pillows were great! Everything was quiet, making a good night's sleep possible! Front desk staff was courteous and responsive. Housekeeping did a great job, too. The frig worked great, and there were enough outlets in the room, which was a relief. Great hotel!

Room tip: Top floor at the end of the hotel was great!

We had a nice stay The room was clean and roomy. It was the typical free breakfast. They had the instant pancakes versus the waffles. i would stay again. It's about 10 minutes from NC State. My husband enjoyed getting into the hot tub to soak.

Overall, our stay was good - nothing special, nothing terrible. In my humble opinion, the hotel is a bit on the expensive side, and the receptionist staff is not particularly friendly. I guess Raleigh is now securely in the hands of Yankees, so the heck with the so-called southern hospitality. The room was clean, nothing to object there. The breakfast is in essence your typical hotel food - nothing spectacular, especially considering you pay almost $200 a night. One would hope for a more eclectic selection of breakfast items than your standard 3-star Days Inn. My 4-star rating here is due to the location (close to the interstate/I-440 and NCSU area) and the room condition. Breakfast and staff deserve a 3-star rating.

We really enjoyed staying here. We stayed for two nights during the Raleigh GalaxyCon. We were on the 4th floor away from the elevator (we had requested high floor, away from the elevator and they met our request). Our floor had a full drink vending machine and ice maker that worked great. This hotel had wide hallways that we loved. A lot of space which made it easier for maneuvering the luggage cart since those aren’t so easy to control/roll sometimes. The hotel room had a room service/order in menu from a local place which was cool – you could get lunch and dinner to your room.

Hotel Room:

Pros –
- Room smelled great, like an apple.
- We really liked the room and all the things we like to have in a hotel room it had plus extras - 2 nightstands, king bed, office desk and chair, sofa chair and ottoman, small stand near chair for drinks, etc., coffee maker with coffee , tea, sweeteners, open closet with an iron, clothes hangers, mini fridge, microwave, safe, dresser, etc.
- Very clean hotel room.
- Service was fantastic. Friendly staff at the service desk and throughout the hotel that we encountered in the hallways and at breakfast. I had some postcards I wanted to mail (already stamped) but did not want to try to find a mailbox so I asked the hotel front desk woman and she mailed them off for me. :)
- We signed up for the green stay so we got an extra 500 pts during our stay for skipping 2 nights of housekeeping. When we got to the hotel (maybe because of our hotel membership status) we had an option of 300 pts or something from the snack bin.
- The main door was very lightweight which made it easy to open and close.
- The bed was comfortable overall. It did have a plastic cover which we took off on the 2nd night because it was causing us to get overheated on night 1.
- The bathroom was clean. They had different options for the shower head which we both like. There were bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash into the shower.
- Great location. It was less than 10 minutes from where we were visiting and it was away from all major traffic.
- Breakfast had real bacon. The sausage was awesome and possibly the best sausage we have had before. The cinnamon buns are awesome as well. The eggs were decent. They had breads, different juices, cereals, yogurts, etc.
- Plenty of parking and not too far away since there were multiple entrances to the hotel.

Cons –
- We didn’t really have any overall, the only thing I could note that was out of the hotel’s control that was a bit of a bother was it was noisy on the 4th floor on our first night well after 10pm with kids running up and down the halls (heavy footsteps) slamming doors but we had noticed there were a bunch of kids (possibly a 4H competition going on) so I wouldn’t think this noise is the norm at this hotel.

Other hotel things to note: downstairs there was free water and cups, newspapers, Raleigh map, etc. near the check in desk. We saw the business center too with the printers.

Room tip: Higher floors away from the elevator are quieter overall
