I stayed at the Marriott for a conference held at the hotel's event center. Staff was hit and miss, with many members efficient and friendly, and others just downright dismissive. The room looked recently refurbished, but there were already some shortcomings, such as a broken lamp, closet door handle that came loose, and stains on the suitcase bench. The room superficially appeared clean, but I noticed dust bunnies on the floor around the base of the other bed.
The restaurant was excellent, and meals reasonably priced, considering it was a downtown hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was particularly good. The hotel provided a breakfast buffet for conference attendees most days, and that, too was excellent. However, the buffet for the organization's dinner was less good, running out of main entree items early during the service. Overall, not bad, but not great.
The valet staff was simply excellent, friendly and super helpful. My car was retrieved quickly each time, and valet staff helpful and informative. Compared to other attendees who used the nearby self parking, the additional cost for the valet was certainly worth it.
In summary, okay enough, but not great.More
