We and another couple dined here on a Tuesday evening. Our server Joy was top notch. She was informative, friendly, yes gave very generous pours, and recommendations when we were between entrees.

Capital Grille noted our Anniversary by decorating the table and a free dessert of cheesecake & chocolate cake. We came during their Generous Pour event. For $45/pp we had 7 wines at 2oz pours but you could have as many of each as you want. If you just like Reds… just get the reds, if you just like whites… gets several pours of white.

3 of us had that and I had a glass of Cabernet off the wine menu, then iced tea. Their iced tea is fresh, cold, delicious, in a “sangria type” glass filled with crushed ice for extra cold, yummy. We shared a fresh mozzarella appetizer, I had the French onion soup which was delicious, huge bread basket with 3 types of breads plus HUGE crackers and salted butter. For dinner we had the bone in Veal chop in a Marsala mushroom sauce and the burger w/creamed spinach as a side. Best burger in town! Best creamed spinach in town! Our friends had the veal chop also and the twin lobster tails and they loved their meals.

Always refreshed waters, offered more bread, more wine, whatever you want the service was ahead of you & your needs. For dessert we got the Creme brûlée loaded with berries, and they delivered the free anniversary plate of desserts.

Our bill was $189, our friends started with a cocktail so maybe theirs was $220, plus tip. Excellent meal, excellent service, excellent vibe/atmosphere.

We have been frequenting The Capital Grille for 6-7 years now. IMO - there is The Capital Grille and then everyone else in Raleigh when it comes to quality staff, service and consistent food quality. Our favorite servers for a couple of years now are Chrissy (behind and in front of the bar) and Bryan (our go to evening server). Whatever they are doing to train and keep their staff could/should be a lessons to many other restaurants in the area.

Good dinner, good entry, the room was a bit too laod, i would prefer a more intimit room, a more quiet place to have a nice dinner. The service was great, and the restaurant was 4 out 5.

The atmosphere is perfect, it was our anniversary . The service was 5 diamonds all the way as was the food. We were treated like royalty.

I went to the capital grille for Mother’s Day. They brought out a special bread that was delicious for special holidays. The environment was upscale. I had the filet mignon. The filet was high quality, well quality, and delicious. J Cole also was there to celebrate. For dessert I had the berries and cream which were a perfect blend of sweet and fruity.
