My wife decided to treat me to a Father’s Day dinner here. Great first impressions, we were
greeted warmly, our server Douglass provided impeccable service. He was very knowledgeable of the drink menu and at first I thought he was was a sommelier. Because he presented us with a sample of their signature Capital Cosmopolitan. If we were looking for a place to have a great cocktail, this would be the place. It wasn’t until he returned with the dinner menus did we realize that he was our server. He was very knowledgable about the dinner menu as well. His suggestions on what paired well with our dishes were right on. We started with the Prosciutto wrapped Mozzarella. Very good. My wife had the sea bass which she said was prepared perfectly. She also had the Patz & Hall Chardonnay that matched well. I had the bone in ribeye. Their steaks were generously portioned. I had the Routestock Cabernet. Thumbs up on the meal. We decided to splurge on dessert. We chose to share the chocolate cake with cherries that were soaked in a port wine. It was a satisfying evening.

We have been to many Capital Grills around the USA. This one was good as usual. Andrea was our server and she made us feel at home. Food was delicious, hot, ample, and at a great price given restaurant week. We will go back for sure. Great atmosphere and very nice service at the valet parking.

Visited w another couple on Wednesday, 6/5/19 for restaurant week. Crowded, which was encouraging. Service was good, except when my server took my order and said, quote, "What can I get you, buddy?". Buddy?? Ordered the sliced filet for $10 upcharge and it wasn't even a poor relation to a filet--full of rubber bands and gristle. Green beans were severely undercooked.
All in all, the best part of the evening was the valet parking--friendly and efficient.

Had a business lunch during restaurant week. Lobster salad w/ citress vinaigrette. Very good. Had been told by colleague their burger was one of the best anywhere. I went back next day, & Meal included clam chowder, bacon burger w/ truffle fries, creme brulee for dessert. ALL were excellent. Burger WAS one of the best flavored I have had. Will be taking wife for a lunch soon so she can try.

Ok I’ve dined in other locations and my best experience was in DC. I normally like a special, occasion to splurge on expensive dining, this week was the exception...it was restaurant week. A great offer of $35/person three course meal with some $10 upgrades. A great deal by steakhouse standards. We enjoyed everything from the Tomahawk pork on the bone, sliced filet with mushrooms and salmon. The starts were field greens and wedge salads doused in blue cheese and large bacon bits. The service was good but not as crisp as I am accustomed in this type of restaurant. Food was a little delayed either due to kitchen or server to table ratios. But this is an observation not a comply, we were in no rush and enjoyed the meal. Dessert for the restaurant week included creme brûlée’s and chocolate tort of some sort. We will be back non restaurant week, it’s worth treating yourself. Enjoy!
