While I understand the mission of the Raptor Center, the admission price is somewhat steep considering what you get. A family of four is $40. The map they provide is tough to follow and the large maps posted around the place have no "You are here." You walk in the nice cool woods and come upon cages with the raptors. Many are hiding in the corners and some are empty. I know they cannot do anything about that, but maybe add some subtle lights. The walkways have some erosion damage which should be fixed. One place, two volunteers had a demonstration of feathers. Otherwise the stages were empty. They did try to sell us a membership, but we do not live close. Maybe they should have a family fee or find ways to be more affordable. Then increase revenue via donations, grants and memberships. I would not recommend this place. And the gift shop had very little to buy, shirts were pricey and many empty displays.
