Review of Penny Path Cafe

Penny Path Cafe
Ranked #2 of 14 Dessert in High Point
Price range: HK$23 - HK$78
Cuisines: Cafe
Description: We are a small cafe that holds 17 to 20 guests and all of our crepes are made to order. The penny Path is not a quick fix, if you have 10 folks in front of you expect to wait a little for your turn;) We offer sweet and savory crepes as well as made to order Coffee Drinks. Our savory menu is all vegetable and cheese based. We offer one main savory Crepe, the "Kitchen Sink" which contains a little of all the savory ingredients we carry. Guests can also create their own savory crepe with the available ingredients. Anyone of our Crepe Cooks can also be trusted to be let loose to create whatever they feel like for you, commonly know here as the "Trust Me" Crepe.

Both the savory and sweet crepes are delicious. Since we wanted a little of both, we shared a savory and shared a sweet. It was absolutely enough for two people to share one of each. The "kitchen sink" savory has everything in it and yummy. The pear sweet crepe was fabulous. I love how the food is different than the normal sandwich cafe.

These crepes were OK, But I've had much better at the Belagio in Las Vegas. The crepes were more like thin pancakes than crepes. Service was quick and cheerful.

I love this place. It's very small and there's not always place to sit if it's busy but the crepes are excellent. I love the kitchen sink crepe, it's hardy and different if you don't want to have something sweet. Great atmosphere and friendly service! It's different from other restaurant and I like that. I would definitely recommend this place.

This review is actually for the new location in Reynolda Village since they do not as yet have there site up and running on Trip Advisor. The owner has done an incredible job of renovating the historic site. The interior is very inviting and the outdoor seating is great on nice days. I have already eaten there three times and they have only been open a couple of weeks. Two friends who have also eaten there are equally impressed. If you like crepes this place is a must.

Had breakfast on a Saturday morning here recently. I shared a savory crepe and a sweet crepe. The crepes were delicious! The cappuccino was average and the seating is very limited. The food was definitely 5 stars but the seating and the cappuccino earned this restaurant a 4 star rating. We will return to the Penny Path. If you like crepes you will not be disappointed.
