Discovery Place is amazing! There is so much to see and do! You can see all nature habitats - rain forest, aquarium, forest, etc. And there are many hands on exhibits, volunteers to show you specific animals and plants, a planetarium, IMAX, and there is always a specific current display, from King Tut to the human body! And don't forget the great gift shop! Plan to spend many hours here, and there is a cafe to keep you going! Discovery Place is well worth every cent!

My husband and I go sevetal times a year to see the amazing exhibits. We've seen a Van Gogh ,a Leonardo Da Vinci and mummy exhibit. It's a great place to take your children and grandkids but don't forget there's plenty for you to see too.
I love browsing the gift shops for some beautiful and unusual gifts for people.

Kids seem to always like when we visit. A lot of interesting exhibits to explore. A lot of parking also.

I enjoyed this place even as an adult to learn. My daughter being three and half enjoyed it as well. It was more playing and running around. She loved the trains, bubbles, fishing from the fake boat, and just different hands on experiences. It is an expensive place in my opinion but I’m guessing paying for where it’s located. We are out of town people. They do give senior citizen and military discount just bring ID. I wouldn’t go back but great for first time and one time for us. Only hour and half from kill devil hills where we were vacationing but it was raining and wanted to do something indoors
