Some more of the great scenery to take in while in Kalbarri. The scenery is amazing, from coastal to gorges.

Island Rock and Natural Bridge are impressive looking rock formations adjacent to the cliffs in Kalbarri National Park. They are both easily reached by a sealed road leading to large carparks (one at each attraction, and then an easy walk along paths or boardwalks to the lookouts. Island Rock can be viewed from lookouts on either side of it, with a boardwalk along the top of the cliff linking the two lookouts. The boardwalk is not fenced but is well back from the edge of the cliff. Natural bridge is a short walk from the southern Island Rock lookout. Both features look amazing by themselves, and then with waves crashing into them it feels wild and spectacular. When we were there we also saw a large pod of dolphins in the ocean.

You can’t fault nature in all her wonder. Well marked, lovely paths leading to the view points. Well worth the walk.

The view from the paths and lookout areas are amazingly beautiful. The rugged coastline of Kalbarri must be seen. There is plenty of parking right at the entrance to the walking paths and it's not too far out of town. Well worth it.

We did as many of the walking trails in our guidebook as we could fit in our three days. This one is very easy and family friendly. Not an adventurous trail and could seem a bit dull if you're looking for a bit more of a walk than just looking at the cliffs. If you've seen the cliff lookouts quite a bit - switch it up for the Mushroom Rock trail. Still, it's easy to get to and the waves crashing against the cliff walls was always enjoyable for me.
