We went to see the lighthouse, because in our search for a place to stay we considered staying here. We would have loved to do a tour, but those are only on Sunday from my understanding. The walk was fairly short and pleasant. It wasn't buggy and it is entirely flat terrain (no uphill). You do have to step up onto bridges and over roots and such. I would not recommend trying to get a stroller to the lighthouse. It is very sandy and we saw a couple carrying their stroller, so I think it would be better to leave it behind. Once we got there it was very calm. There isn't a lot to do or read. You can sit and relax and walk around the lighthouse. There were some small children splashing in the water, but no one was really swimming. I don't know if that would be appropriate or not. You definitely have to pay attention to the tides, because I think the website says you could get stuck if the tide comes in. Make sure to check up on that in correlation to when you go to visit. There was a port-a-potty, but no bathroom available for use.
