Saratoga Arms is probably the best show in Town! This historical Inn is classy and comfortable without being stuffy. There are COVID precautions in place and everything has a sparkle to it. Our room was beautiful. The bathroom was super clean, the linens were crisp and the bed comfortable (loved the Beekman bath products). The owners are very friendly and we felt welcomed from the minute we stepped in to the minute we left. The downtown location makes it perfect to walk to all of the wonderful restaurants. Our breakfast was delicious! We can't wait to return in the Fall.

We love staying in independently owned hotels for so many reasons, but mostly it is the personalized touch, as it is with the Saratoga Arms. It right in town! Park your car for the weekend. It’s a historic hotel but with all the undated needs for a hotel, like very clean modern bathrooms. No rusty claw foot tubs here. Thank you to Kathleen, Amy and Aiden for storing our bicycles and all your excellent dining suggestions

Just back from a weekend at the Saratoga Arms. Found that he 'complimentary' breakfast is only for those who pay extra for it. When we booked I declined the breakfast but then my wife (who is gluten intolerant and generally brings her own food) noticed that breakfast was 'complimentary' at multiple places on their website. When we checked in we found that it was not complimentary, but cost $30 a day, more. We did find a grocery store the first evening and were able to get some food for breakfast. Nice older hotel, but we have traveled a lot an a Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn offers much better value for half the price.

Room tip: Book somewhere else.

Management response:Responded 29 April 2021

Thank you for your review. We apologize for the confusion regarding breakfast. Even though our breakfast is a signature part of a stay with us, early in the pandemic we noticed that many guests did not partake in our breakfast service. We decided to offer a rate that was a bit less expensive for those who wanted to travel but were not yet comfortable eating in public. It was our mistake not to outline this specifically on our website. We have since made those changes to be more clear. We have noticed that guests like choice during these times. Whether it is breakfast service, our complimentary guest pantry with snacks, beverages and cookies, our socially distanced wrap around front porch, or the 3 types of housekeeping service we offer, we aim to meet guests where they feel most comfortable. We do appreciate you bringing the breakfast verbiage to our attention.

This is a 5 star hotel that has been updated over the years. Beautiful old architecture with fireplaces in all the rooms downstairs-reading room, game room and dining room. We stayed in 102 last time which is their nicest room with 2 person hot tub, large shower room, heated floors, fireplace recently refinished in a more modern style. Has a private entrance onto Broadway with nice sitting area outside for warmer weather. This time we stayed in 210 with king bed off street. Breakfast included in a very bright newer dining room using local farmers products. Nice snack room with complementary drinks, candy and cookies. Staff is very attentive and gracious. This is a very warm and personal hotel -not the standard chain. Totally enjoyed our stay. Perfect for strolling downtown and great Covid protocols.

Charming hotel, thoughtful amenities, accommodating staff, excellent breakfast, eco-friendly, cautious about COVID, and in an ideal location. Deserves all the positive reviews and an excellent choice in the area. Tiny complaint is that the mattress quality might not be on the same level as the rest of the hotel but this is a very minor complaint. Overall I would strongly recommend and will stay there again. I really wish more hotels would do what they do and offer guests unlimited snacks/drinks...instead most tack on a resort fee for things we never use...kudos to this hotel for thinking differently.
