The golf course is difficult and beautiful- the terrain is steep- the greens roll true- the scenery is the best- 360 degree views of the Catskills and I believe you can see so far there are glimpses of the Adirondacks. The pro shop and adjacent bar/restaurant are architectural quaint and rustic. The owners/employees were all very inviting- The cost of $50 for the round of golf and cart was more than fair. I think it nearly impossible to try and walk this course- you would need to be half billy goat. The only negative thing I can say is that we got a little lost going from 8 green to nine tee box- and going from 17 green to 18 tee box- Maybe a few more signs for first timers like us or at least a heads up at check in- other than that- we will definitely return.
Like a previous writer noted- bring a few extra balls- but for any balls we lost is the terrain- we probably found two- the fairways are narrow and sloping- takes a little getting used to - I am positive the next round we play there we will be a little better off with knowledge of the slope-
Most definitely- without question- one of the most interesting and beautiful layouts of mountain style golf I have ever played - and I have been swinging a club for over 45 years.More
