Me and the wife stopped here for a tasting followed by lunch. Food was good and reasonably priced. The wife enjoyed their fruit wines.

We planned to go to Knapp after the great reviews and we hoped to combine wine tasting with a meal. This is possible with enough time, though the restaurant is in a separate building, do the activities need to be separate. The restaurant was empty and only after starting to order we were advised the chef wasn't in and none of the regular entrees were available - just a couple of specials. This was really disappointing as we had checked out the menu beforehand. We ordered from the very limited menu. The cheeseboard platter was very nice, however one of the cheeses was mouldy. The waiter replaced it immediately and said we would not be charged for the board. The mains were very good. We had fish tacos and sea and surf burgers - we chose mixed flights of wine (with varying appreciation) and without the offer of guidance or information from the waiter. Later when we tried to taste wines, in the tasting building there was little time left and they were switching lights off early so we could not. It was a nice space though, a shame.

We apologize for your mediocre experience at Knapp Winery & Vineyard Restaurant. We had a charity event that pulled management in different directions, but it is still no excuse for the disappointing visit you had at Knapp. We hope you visit us again so that we can show that we had an off day and does not reflect on the hard work and dedication of our staff and Knapp customer service.

Even though they were very busy, the staff was extremely friendly and made sure we were informed about the wines we were tasting. Bought more wine here than anywhere else on our trip!

Once a month, Knapp hosts a special five-course dinner. It begins with a reception in the winery at which the 50-odd diners are offered a full glass of their choice of wine and then a flute of sparkling wine - so you start out by being a two-fisted drinker! The dinners then move to the restaurant, where each place setting has a menu outlining the courses and the wines to be paired with the food. Each course is accompanied by two different wines (no, not a full glass of each, but more like a quarter-glass).
It's difficult to say enough good things about this dinner. Excellence abounds in every aspect of the evening. It's an experience every wine connoisseur and gourmand should try at least once. But be careful! You can eat too much, although the management says beforehand that the wine servings are paced so that you don't get drunk. Allow three hours for this dinner. Check Knapp's website for details and menu.

We stopped here while on the wine trail. We ended up doing a tasting at the bar. We tried an assortment of wines but our favorite was the Pasta Red. We actually bought a bottle and had it with pasta for dinner that same night. The older gentleman doing the tasting was very nice. We were glad we made the stop.
